While I don't care to have this feature as a means of syncing photos that are from my PC, I would like to use it as a means of having my photos from my phone not only back up to the cloud but then download and sync as an extra backup to my PC without needing to manually manage things separately.

Would be cool to actually see my files, scrolling thousands of photographs in the web interface is untenable.

I did not realize myself that this crucial feature is lacking from Proton Drive. I am however optimistic that it will be fixed in the near future given the amount of votes it gets.

This is a very crucial feature that is keeping major user adoption to your service. This is a major annoyance for me, but I am not recommending this service to any friends or family that I know need feature.

i need the capability to have one root folder for all my files. no reason to separate photos and computers. the reason is that some of my pics are on the computer and some others on Photos tab with no way to merge the two.

Seems crazy that photos have to be manually downloaded as a zip before we can do anything else with them. I'm sure most people have alternate backup tools for their photos, and this extra step makes managing photos much slower.

There should be 1 main Drive folder that contains all files. Web, desktop, mobile app, file explorer, should all be options to see and open these files, and they should be synced from these places.

As many others have said, photos and videos are files and should be managed like files. This is an essential and basic feature of any file syncing service.

Yes this really needs to be added. I don't want to have to log into the web app to be able to access my phone photos. This is a basic feature of Onedrive, iPhotos, etc...being able to access your photos from your desktop.

This would be a really valuable feature which enables me to move from Dropbox and makes the paid proton subscription really interesting.

I am a relatively new Proton user and consider moving off again before I have too many photos in the drive that are inconvenient to access for backups.

This is my main blocker to move completely from Google to Proton. You don't have a way to organize your Photos. If you could just upload them to a regular Folder in the Proton Drive (like on this feature request https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/932839-proton-drive/suggestions/46933159-proton-drive-android-app-sync-with-a-local-folde), i can organize the photos in different folders, and we wouldn't even need an Albums feature for now. This photo sync into folder directly is available in Dropbox and Shadow Drive. There was one app tested which i don't remember now, that would even allow to automatically create the folder in the drive separating by year or year-month folder, but just synching to a regular folder is enough.

Does Proton only read all these messages? I don't feel like it. At a time when many of us prefer to play the European card against the Gafam... it would be time for Proton or a European competitor to take matters seriously into their own hands. Otherwise, many of us will desert these services... especially since they are expensive...
