Essential for me, due to eyesight issues...
In the process of migrating from Apple and Outlook, and this lack of what is the norm elsewhere, is a concern. Is it a hangover from the Standardnotes collaboration? Have we had feedback from the Drive team?

The fact that Docs doesn't match the rest of the theming has made it effectively unusable for me. And not just the UI: I currently use an extension for Google docs whose sole purpose is to make the page itself dark as well. Having that same functionality built into Proton Docs would mean instant switch.

Imagine a world where you are looking comfortably at a nice dark, easy-on-the-eyes screen for hours and you pop open Proton Docs and your retinas are instantly scorched by the blinding white screen as if you're a certain president staring directly into the sun.

That is my and my wife's experience with Proton Docs.

Dark. Mode. PLEASE!

Please, add this. It's odd to me that you have dark mode across all your other apps, but not for docs.

Agree, I want to start utilizing this with friends but we have vision issues and I myself get migraines from white backgrounds. Getting flashbanged when opening a document isn't fun.

Just respect the theme settings we already have in other apps

I think themes like we have on Mail/Calendar/Drive would be great for Docs

I agree, in the meantime I'm applying "dark mode" whithin firefox and it works perfect!

For accessibility, it would also be really helpful to be able to change the default font so you can continue using Verdana (or, in my dreams, OpenDyslexic) for the entire document / every new doc

I absolutely support that. But please use the same color scheme as the Android app from Proton Pass. Most dark modes are too dark or the contrast is too high. But the look of the Proton Pass app is perfect!

In the best case, extend the color scheme of Pass to everything, including the desktop apps
