Upload photos as zip files, or allow one-time import from Google
I'm in the process of switching off of Google's G-Suite, and moving my photos/videos off there, and into Proton Drive. Google Photos is nice because you can download a bunch of files into a zip file to save bandwidth. It would also be nice to upload that raw zip file into Proton Drive to save upload bandwidth. Upload speeds are usually much slower for folks too, so this would be really helpful.
Alternatively, it would be great to do a one-time import of photos from Google Photos, and just be done with it :)
Thanks!

Hello Proton Team,
I’m a Proton Drive Plus user and I’d love to see the addition of an upload-only share link (sometimes called a file request feature).
Currently, when I create a shareable link, the only options are Viewer (download only) or Editor (upload + view + download). The problem with the Editor option is that recipients can see and potentially download existing files in the folder. For many workflows, especially professional use cases, we need clients to be able to safely upload documents without being able to access or view anything else.
This functionality is already available in services like Dropbox (File Requests), Google Drive (via Forms), and Box. Having it in Proton Drive would make it possible to confidently use Proton as a fully secure client file intake system—without needing third-party tools.
It would be an excellent privacy-focused alternative for:
Collecting client contracts, invoices, or resumes
Receiving sensitive documents (ID, compliance paperwork, etc.)
Creative agencies, consultants, and trainers who need a simple, encrypted way for clients to upload files
Please let us know if this feature is on your roadmap, and if so, any timeline for rollout. I believe it would greatly strengthen Proton Drive as a professional and privacy-first Dropbox alternative.
Thank you for continuing to build tools that respect privacy and security.
