I’ve lost my place in long research PDFs more times than I can count, so seeing “Remember Last Page” and “Jump to Page” on your list feels like someone finally listened. Those two features alone save me from the frustration of scrolling through 300 pages trying to find where I stopped reading at 2am. Comments and highlights are equally essential - without them, I might as well be using printed paper and a pen. What surprised me is how often I end up needing to convert those annotated PDFs into other formats, especially EPUB for reading on my e-reader during commutes. That’s when I started using https://pdfguru.com/pdf-to-epub to keep my highlights and page flow intact. In my experience, the best PDF tool isn’t the one with the most buttons — it’s the one that respects your time, your memory, and your need to jump exactly where you left off without extra clicks.

I agree, I would use Proton Drive as my primary storage and reader for PDFs if my highlights and annotations could be saved and I could see them when I reopen the PDF on the same or a different device.

…and a way to edit PDFs directly, just as kDrive does so well.
