Stream video's within the Proton Drive App instead of downloading before being able to view the video
Before being able to view a video in the Proton Drive App the entire video needs to be downloaded. It would really enhance the user experience to stream video. Loading time wil reduce significantly and increase usability of the App. At the moment for quick viewing I use Google / iOS :-(
It is currently possible to stream videos from within Proton Drive. As of June of this year, movie-length videos can be stored and then played.

Streaming videos directly inside Proton Drive is especially helpful for people who store gameplay recordings or tutorial clips. I personally save short gameplay videos from mobile games like Stumble Guys so I can rewatch strategies without downloading files every time.
For anyone interested in Stumble Guys gameplay tips and guides, I also share content here:

Really great suggestion — being able to stream videos directly within Proton Drive instead of downloading them first would be a massive usability win. On my end, when I'm streaming or editing content while on the go, I rely on platforms like OnStream APK to keep things smooth and flexible. If Proton Drive enabled true in-app streaming, it would close the gap between secure cloud storage and seamless media playback.
To the community: what’s more important to you — instant streaming or end-to-end encryption + download option?

In my case, I have tried a bunch of different video formats such as mp4, avi, mkv, and none of them work for me. Now it downloads the video and then plays it, but it does not stream. I am using the latest version of the app right now for iOS 1.55.0 (11408.3).

It's works fine for video AVC/h264 but not for video HEVC/h265. I suggest to reopen this topic to add HEVC support.
