Page Breaks!
This has been posted before, but always bundled with other features, and I really want to stress how important this SINGLE change is for many many novelists, academics, etc.
Page breaks are crucial to a huge number of people who use word processors/electronic documents, as is the ability to force a page break (for a new chapter, etc.)
Right now I have to keep doing print previews just to see what page things are on, and there is absolutely no way to control where a page break occurs. I will be forced to keep using Gdocs for my novels until this is changed, and I can't tell you how much I hate having to do that.

Yes, we need this please!

I am with the others. I would very much like to move over from Google Docs, but cannot do so without page breaks. It makes printing my docs nearly impossible with the extra work it takes to get things laid out correctly, especially since I need to use graphics with my work. Please and thank you.

As noted in other comments, the lack of a page break is a reason not to use Proton Docs yet. Very unfortunate: I like to switch.

Formatting is so important, the nonexistence of this feature made the product unusable for me; I need to know where I am on the page whilst writing, not after I make a PDF for all by going to Print preview – it's too long winded. I've reluctantly had to switch to a different software.
TBH hard to believe the product was launched without it, it's as basic as spellcheck :)

Yeah this is a standard feature required for proper formatting larger text works!

We need this! It's such a basic functionality that should've been default!

It is ridiculous that such a basic item isn't already included?

why is such a banal thing missing, it would be good if features were finished at least into an MVP before making new products

Any updates for when they will roll this out! With microsoft word now starting to glitch due to the product no longer being serviced. I really would rather be using proton Doc but like many others have said it makes it nearly impossiable for me to use and make the switch. I can't stress the importance of this feature! (How can we page number without knowing what page we are on!)

Another vote for pages. I print LOTS of PDF for client related things. The lack of pages makes it quite time consuming to get documents presented properly for this purpose :)

Yes, for exporting it would be great to be able to see!

Yes please! Not as necessary for the writing, but exporting to PDF (I send protocols regularily) is an absolute pain without knowing where a page will end (+ a row of text is often cut horizontally, so parts of the letters are on the first and some on the second page). Would love to get a solution for this

Definitely an essential feature ! I agree that this surely prevents people from moving entirely to Proton ecosystem ; for now, it’s more a note‑taking app rather than a full‑featured document editor...so sad !
It’s especially a pity that Proton Sheet is really well made and fully usable for ordinary people ! Why this hudge contrast ? -

Please figure out how to include this ASAP!!! As well as modifying page borders/margins. These are critical features in Word processors.
I am eager to fully migrate EVERYTHING to Proton. Fingers crossed for this improvement very soon!

+100000. This one missing feature has me stuck between fully moving to Proton, and I hate having to still work out of Gdocs and have a Gdrive as well.

+1000 - I currently use gDocs for my resume and it's important to be able to see page breaks and adjust the page margins. If I could do both of those things I'd move everything offer immediately
