Share file, but don't allow download or screenshot
Changes to the share file in proton drive that allows people to view, but not download a file to retain ownership of data but allow others to verify.
Could be useful when sharing identity documents, contracts etc, but you don't necessarily want others to keep a copy of the data.
Would also be nice to use some form of browser DRM protection to prevent screenshots as well.

I would really like this feature for sharing private family photos.
I want to be able to share photos with family members so they can view them, but not easily download them and later upload them to Facebook, Instagram, or other social media.
Of course, simply asking people not to share the photos is not enough in practice. A photo may be sent to an aunt, then forwarded to her son, then to someone else, and very quickly you no longer know who has a copy or where it may end up.
I understand that screenshots can never be prevented completely, but removing the normal download option and, if possible, adding screenshot protection would still make a big practical difference.
For family photos, especially photos of children, a true “view-only” mode with no download would be extremely useful.

Essential! Visitors may view shared documents but should not be able to download them.

There are SEVERAL posts that all mention preventing downloads. Please have someone go through and combine all of these into one!! They aren't getting enough traction because it's split, but this is a key feature to implement on products you already have! Please prioritize functionality of current products over launching new ones.

Bumping this request. This is essential for certain industries that need to share demos of files (stream only / view only) and not allowing a direct download of the audio/video file for custody of the copyright material being pitched.
