Saving search index
I know files and photos indexing may be technically difficult because everything is encrypted, but at least it should be optional to create and persist and index to not wait every time to reconstitutes it, when it's needed to search for files and photos. This index may be incrementally updated at the next access.
It should also be useful to have an index updated in background, maybe by the mobile or desktop apps.

The estimated time is thousands of hours to index my files. I don’t want to leave my computer on indefinitely. This is worse the more storage space you use, so ironically it punishes people who pay for a more expensive plan.

PLease Proton Please !!! This is such a simple thing to do just make it create a file in the root directory of drive containing the index. I want to use drive to find my stuff on a new device all the time!! Also, it even forgets the index when I activate cookie saving in my browser. I stay logged in, but it still forgets the index all the time! Just ******* save it with my other data as we see with photos you already have a storage compartment for my account that is treated differently just put the index somewhere like that. And let me use this cached version until a new one is build.
