How can we improve Proton Drive?

A Shared drive for company use

We have started to use Proton in our company next to Google. As long as it is still not fully functional in the same way we will keep things next to eachother. At least supporting the product development of Proton by having a paid subscription!

A small step in the right direction would be to have proper Shared Drives that are 'company owned' instead of user owned. And where you can jointly keep data stored.

    'Shared Drives for Business' was on the roadmap for 2025 Winter.
    Quote:
    'We’ll introduce Shared Drives for businesses and families to simplify secure collaboration. You’ll soon be able to work together in one secure, shared storage space. Proton for Business plans get multiple Shared Drives (one per department, client, or team), while our Duo and Family plans will include one shared drive.'

    Didn't happen in 2025 but now it was mentioned on the 2026 roadmap again: 'This will also include shared Drive, one secure, shared storage space giving improved collaboration capabilities to families and businesses.'

    To me this is a critical feature to compete with big tech (Google Drive / Sharepoint). Without company drives Proton Drive is not fully 'for Business', more 'personal'.

    Also the sync of the shared folders in Finder is important. Hope Proton will release these functionalities soon.
