  1. superscript/subscript in docs

    I really like proton docs, but one of the things I am really missing is the ability to superscript/subscript in documents. It's especially important for inline citations and I think it would be a very good idea to add them. Others have already mentioned a lot of feedback like dark mode and .odt export, which are also important.

  2. A Proton Drive that actually works

    I would like a Proton Drive that actually works on Windows 11.

    Issues with current Proton Drive:

    -It takes a week to synchronize 1 TB of data, this is absolutely unacceptable. Why is it not able to fully utilize my available internet bandwidth/speed or hard drive speed? Why can't it sync multiple files at a time until these limits are met? It's often faster to simply download the file from the website, but even then, it appears downloads of larger (~100gb) files get throttled or fail entirely.

  3. Docs: Unnecessery space (top padding) on DocumentEditorToolbar

    There is just to much top padding on DocumentEditorToolbar.

    Why not make it inline with docs header?

  5. Allow "Change Layout" when not logged in.

    Currently when I'm logged in and viewing a folder of pictures in Drive, the default view is tiled thumbnails, which is great. And I can toggled to a list view by clicking "Change Layout" in the top right.

    However, when I create a public link and view the page when not logged in, the default view is a list and there is no option to "Change Layout." So the only way to see what the pictures are is to individually preview them.

  6. Allow ios photo syncing on mobile data

    If users' mobile data plan allows it they'll most certainly want to have their photos backed up as soon as they take them. I know I do (I only have mobile data, so WiFi only means I don’t have this feature). Already implemented in Android.

  7. Make users submit folders before starting a Photo Backup

    Just turned on the Photo Backup and was horrified that it immediately started uploading my Camera and Screenshots folders without asking me which folders I wanted to backup. It also later showed a popup in the Photo Backup section saying something like "Photo Backup is turned off [Turn On]". After pressing that it not only reselected Camera and Screenshots, it also UNSELECTED MY SELECTED FOLDERS. This is extremely annoying and lead to me having to manually select the few screenshots that had been uploaded and delete them one by one

    Ich fände gut wenn auch ältere Betriebssysteme die Drive Desktopapp installieren könnten. Ich habe zb. osx 12.7 und kann es nicht installieren

  9. Right-to-Left (RTL) Languages Correctly displayed in File Name

    For example, a file name in Arabic or Urdu (right-to-left languages) is rendered incorrectly (that is, rendered left-to-right) on the Proton Drive home screen.

    It makes it very difficult to recognize the file you are looking for!

    I hope that this is a reasonable condition to program. Thanks for considering!

  10. Folder details and file versions

    On the Folder details, can it be distinguished between Upload folder and Created folder please? If Uploaded then the size and is it possible for Folder versioning? About the file versioning it would be helpful to capture accurate logs of the versions, even if a version is deleted and by whom IF we can't get admin approval for any deletion on company or host shared drive.

    I cannot tell where the sides of the page start and end - the background color is the same. Can you at least change it to a different shade of grey?

  13. View only permissions for share link (no download option)

    I would love to see a feature in share link settings that would block/remove the download option. Useful in cases where you want people to be able to preview photos for example, but not be able to easily download them. This wouldn't stop tech-savvy users but would provide some friction against the average user downloading things you may not want them to.

  14. Ability to Send download and upload links to non-proton users - and better video player and multimedia features

    I’d like to replace gdrive entirely, but need a better video player, and more functionality for clients who don’t use proton. Some of my clients don’t want their content online, as it’s for showing in-person only.

  15. Mobile editing and page seperation features

    On mobile:

    When creating a new document: first ask the user to name the document before opening the editor.

    When editing a document: place the formatting options at the bottom of the screen rather than at the top, as it is currently, so they are within thumb’s reach, especially on large phone screens.

    From a general point of view:

    It is a shame that there is no separation between pages. Therefore, it's impossible to assess the length of the text at a glance.

  16. Receive an email summary of comments made in a proton drive document

    Just like in Google drive (makes it super handy to see an overview of comments on a large document without having to scroll back through and find them)! (LOVE the proton docs, so beautiful... thank you for all your hard work!)

    je sauvergarde mes fichiers sur 365 jours car important serait-il possible de garder uniquement le dernier de la journee car aujourd'hui il garde toutes les versions un 1to c'est un peu peut pour cela.

  18. Allow setting own storage limit warning or allow disabling it completly.

    We find it very annoying that we see a warning on all Proton services, that our storage is about reaching it limit (we are using 2,5 TB out of 3 TB) and that we should uppate to a higher plan. However, there isn't a higher plan available and we still have over 500GB free storage, which is more than a regular Premium user gets overall.

    This message is shown on every service every time we log in, and it is very annoying and misleading tbh. Please allow setting a own storage limit or allowing disabling those warnings systemwide.

  19. Please return "password protected read-only" shares that the new feature "Manage user rights on shared files or folders" removed

    Since the highly requested "Manage user rights on shared files or folders" was implemented, the option to password-protect read-only shares was removed. The current sharing mechanism requires people to create a Proton account, and it is not always feasible (I work with a group of technologically limited people, most of them will never create a Proton account). The public share link is still there but I need password-protected links for the data I share (copyrights issues, working with a singing group). Thank you!

  20. Add a video player feature for public links

    I use pCloud now but would like to move to Proton Drive. I am able to right click the file on my Windows desktop app and save a link to share a file publicly.

    The specific instance is a link to a video that I want to share. When I send the link created by pCloud through a text or email, pCloud creates a nice static preview of the video and the recipient is able to view the video in a player supported on pCloud. Doing the same with Proton Drive is not user friendly in that the same file…
