One Way Sync For Proton Drive Computer Backup
One of the primary reasons people are gravitating to Proton is for redundancy. There should be a way to set “two way sync” or “one way sync” for files and folders. Some files we would just like access to, while knowing we will not accidently move or delete them. I know that the “Trash” holds them for 30 days, but sometimes “fatal” errors can occur where files are totally lost, or corrupted. Proton drive shared link for MacOS
I am trying Proton drive app on MacOS 15.6.1, and while opening the file or folder contextual menu on the Proton, I don't see the option to create a share link on any file or folder, it is only possible to do it from the Proton drive web page, but it takes extra time and clicks, will this feature come soon? this is a very used feature and other products have this functionality, onedrive, dropbox..

Simplify folder path structure in Drive on Windows
On Windows, Proton Drive creates a very strange folder structure:
C:\Users\username\Proton Drive\username\My files\
There are empty folders in the path for no reason. Why not just store everything directly inside Proton Drive? It feels unnecessary and cluttered.
Besides being visually messy (it literally bothers my OCD), it also makes accessing files slower and annoying because I have to click through multiple empty folders just to get to my stuff.

GDrive to Proton Drive Server-2-Server file transfer [not just pix]
Hi
I looked and did not see anything regarding this, thus my feature request.
I currently have several GB's of files on my Giggle 😃 Drive account [paid] and would love to be able to permanently move/transfer all those files directly to Proton Drive without downloading them to my laptop first and re-upping them to Proton Drive. A server to server xfer so to speak. I am not familiar with GDrive's API or policies on this so perhaps it's not possible.
If it's not then so be it. Lol.

Table cell merging and splitting, allowing users to create more complex and structured tables.
Column management tools, including the ability to insert, delete, resize, and adjust table columns more easily.

Photo backup should delete photos from the drive when I delete them on my phone.
Instead of just mindlessly uploading every photo I take and calling it a day, it would be very helpful if the folders actually synced and photos I delete from my phone was automatically deleted from the drive, or at least put in a "bin" I can manually empty once in a while.

Open Source Font Library in Proton Docs
Please add support for the open-source font library (Google Fonts) in Proton Docs, but hosted directly on Proton's servers or routed through a zero-tracking CDN like Bunny Fonts.
The current font selection is too bare-bones for professional documents. If Proton hosted these open-source fonts locally, it would fix the typography limitations of Proton Docs without leaking user IP addresses to third parties. This is the main feature holding me back from fully dropping Google Workspace.

Please implement an exclude function? For instance I never want to upload .DS_Store files from my mac, or .git folders, etc. something like --exclude <pattern>

Add a dry-run flag To the cli
Can you implement a --dry-run feature to the cli? I want to be able to see what will happen if I start a large or complex upload.
It should show both the local files to be transferred and the final path of the uploaded files

Sheets - CTRL+K to insert link
CTRL+K should function exactly the same as the "Insert link" button in the toolbar.
This is faster than clicking a button, especially with a screen size where the "Insert link" button is hidden in the dropdown menu.13 votes -

Have created Proton Drive Utility Based rather using terminal. its a Linux App Utility "more a utility then the traditional proton drive app" try and give feed back to the email listed on the GitHub page.

Keyboard shortcuts
I would love to see keyboard shortcut support in the web version of Proton Drive. Out of habit, I always press F2 when I want to rename a file (same as in Windows and other Microsoft products, it has also been implemented in Google Drive).
It would also be nice if e.g. Ctrl+A (or Cmd+A on macOS) selected all files/objects in the current view.
Using the arrow keys (up and down) to move the selection from one object to the next. Extending selection of files by using the arrow keys (up and down) while holding Shift.

Bitte schafft eine Funktion, mit der ich für meine Firma einen Ordner bestimmen kann, der als GoBD konformes Archiv genutzt werden kann. Damit ich dort für meine Buchhaltung meine Rechnung aus unserem ERP vollautomatisch ablegen kann. Die einmal abgelegte Datei darf nicht mehr veränderbar sein oder löschbarer für acht Jahre. Würde man eine Datei mit dem selben Namen dort speichern wollen, muss sie automatisch eine Version bekommen und die alte Datei muss bestehen bleiben. Damit man dem deutschen Finanzamt gerecht wird.
