  1. Docs: AsciiDoc Export/Download

    Add a new option to Export and Download a Doc in AsciiDoc format. This would be similar to what you do now with Markdown, but the syntax is slightly different.

    a way to not download all the file but just the one you need with a virtual folder like other competitor like pdr. in this case you save lot of storage in the case of an small hhd like 500gb and a plan of more than 500gb

  3. The ability to order a physical drive as backup

    The ability for the customers to order a physical drive as backup for their data and deliver it to their home. Of course the customer has to pay the costs for the hard drive and the delivery.

  4. Shourtcuts for Proton Drive

    Just like there are shortcuts in proton mail "T" to move to trash, "U" to mark as unread, etc., the shourtcut integration is much needed in Proton drive. like to rename, preview, download etc..

  5. Add a comment to an upload

    In Proton Drive, I would like to add comments to the files I upload.

    I use it to backup generations of programs and it would be very helpful to be able to note what changes are in each generation.

  6. Provide a preview for all files on Mac OS

    The problem with Mac OS is that only locally downloaded files have a thumbnail.

    When you have a large amount of data on ProtonDrive, you don't download all the files locally, but you still need to move or reorganise them.

    This is difficult to do without the preview.

  7. 2FA protection for certain files and folders

    Drive should have something like the "Personal Vault" from OneDrive.

    Everything in the Proton Drive is available all the time everywhere. As some files are extremely critical, but dont need to be looked at or changed all the time from everywhere, this is a convenient weakness.

    Example: I don't want my Bitcoin recovery phrase on the android app to be be "protected" with a fingerprint, and on the unlocked PC not protected at all.

  8. Aggressive Syncing Option

    Option to set certain folders to "aggressively" sync. I've found that I will modify a directory on one PC. Close it, go to another PC, open it in an application, and it will have to download new versions before I can work with it. Aggressive syncing would sync immediately. Alternatively a "force sync" option to force syncing prior to attempting to access the files could work as well.

  9. Implement Paperless-ngx type system - desirable emergent behaviour

    I wanted to raise the idea of implementing a system like paperless-ngx (https://docs.paperless-ngx.com/) into the Drive product.

    I feel the way file management is currently done these days is a little outdated - we no longer need to organise documents like filing cabinets.

    Implementing a system like this benefits protonmail too, by (auto) consuming attachments from emails. This would also be desirable by business and individuals.

  11. Sync Kingston IronKey with Proton Drive

    Hey there!
    I've purchased an Ironkey locker+ 50 to store private data. Could be great to automatically backup my files to Proton Drive and sync the key with cloud storage. Safe transfer and file encryption on the key and on the drive.

    Please, it would be extremely useful to implement the tags feature, similar to what already exists in ProtonMail. This makes it easy to organize and find the different types of files on ProtonDrive.

  18. Markdown support

    We all need the key feature, which is Docs and Sheets support, but in the meantime would be also nice to deliver markdown support to be able to create it directly in the drive and export it to PDF for example. I guess that most of cases people need to create some kind of statements or easy documents and export them, and it could be done just with markdown integration as we can see with HackMD or Obsidian and other. From my point of view, it's a trade-off between developer complexity and user usability.

    Implement a possibility to automatically reduce the resolution of photos being backed-up to proton drive. This is to reduce the amount of storage space claimed by backed-up photos.

  20. Multi Lingual Support for Docs in Proton Drive

    The document to have a spell checker that supports multi - lingual libraries and not just the default. So that when you have French and English text in the same document , the spell checker doesnt highlight all the French spelling if the default is English.
