Agree. Color coding has become a basic function on most calendars. I use it frequently to manage the family schedule. One color is making it difficult to manage at a glance.

Create 1 calendar for each type of event with colour and notification you want:
=> go to Settings , select Calendar. Then click on Add new calendar.

When you go back to your calendar you can select all calendars (= type of event) you need to show

Alike; I am not yet ready to switch to proton calendar because of this lack of option to color-code events.

I have to create multiple events for everyday in reference to different aspects of my job. I would like to be able to color coordinate each one, like google cal or samsung cal does. I'm looking to get away from them entirely. I really like what I'm seeing here so far. Thank you.

You can do it on the desktop but there's an error within the app that won't allow you to see it.

Agreed! Prioritise adding colour labels, I use this feature heavily on Google calendar and will be unable to move scheduling over until Protonmail has the same feature.

I'm switching from Google Calendar to ProtonCalendar currently. A feature that is missing that I really like is being able to use a specific color on an event. Right now all events in a calendar are stuck as the same color. In Google Calendar, you can choose a color for that event or use the calendar default. I think being able to color code events inside a calendar is an important feature.

The title says it all. The color palette for the events are very limited at the moment. Please increase the number of given colors and add the ability to pick a custom color.

I agree, the ability to color-code each event would be very useful, to identify different classes of events, e.g., doctor's appointments from birthdays from meetings. It could also be accomplished by alphanumeric tags, or even emojis, I guess (urk, not really suggesting emojis).

It would be nice to be able to alter event color by event.

Currently using aCalendar+, and it's been great...until yours came along! I really appreciated being able to colour-code calendar items: financial, job, medical, etc.

Now, I do get that the calendar is still only in "Beta", (and I love it!!), but if this functionality could be added, I'd be thrilled.

I also agree, I would propose to change the title to be more precise since calendar colors are already implemented but event colors aren't.

I would change it to "Add Color Options for Individual Events in Calendar"

So for events, other than defaulting to the color assinged to their calendar, the ability to change their color individually is the goal (similarly to how it is implemented in Google Calendar).

I would like to start by saying that I love what the Proton team is doing.

I would also leave my Google Calendar behind if I could make certain events different colors. Looking back at events without this feature is way more time consuming than it needs to be.

I agree with this post. It's the only way I will leave Google calendar behind. I hate Apple Calendar, and those stupid dots too. I need to be able to glance at the calendar and know what I have going on.

What makes me stay at Google Calender is that, over there, I can color events with different background colors to easily see what events are related too (job, lunch, private meeting etc). Perhaps events could have a category tag that you can separately configure to have a certain color. But just being able to assign a color would be appreciated.

I fully agree. This is an important feature for my organization, and I was disappointed to see it not available.
