iOS widget
It'd be super useful if there was a mobile widget for the ProtonCalendar app so I can see my calendar from my home screen

Literally the only thing keeping me from leaving Google and switching to Proton Calendar. The only thing I use my gmail account for these days is event organizing and would really love to be able to leave the google ecosystem.

Hello!
I think adapting ProtonMail to our widget will be more interesting for the ProtonMail guys :-)
- That is a commercial service.
So I would advice you to ask them pointing to our widget's Open Source repository:

Ich denke, Anpassung von Protonmail an unser Widget ist interessanter für die Protonmail-Jungs :-) - das ist ein kommerzieller Service. Also würde ich Ihnen Ratschläge geben, um sie zu bitten, auf das Open-Source-Repository des Widgets hinzuweisen:

It isn't super useful. It's essential if you are on mobile. The whole point of using android on a competent phone is to see things easily and not having to log into a website. This is the only reason I use Google calendars at all. Considering proton is a paid service I'm surprised this doesn't already exist.

A widget is the only way I use a calendar app on my phone. The lack of this feature is the only thing keeping me from switching to Proton calendar.

YES!!! Even just a listing of upcoming appointments in a widget would be a huge help.

In addition to the std calendar widget, an agenda widget which only shows the next 5 (depending on widget size) events would be great

A widget is essential for me. It's critical in fact. I'd love to see one soon.

Perhaps it could just be made possible to sync or connect (or what the correct term is) to existing calendar widgets. ACalender support would be awesome, it is very good and works with many other calendar types.
-And it looks awesome ;) -

I absolutely agree! This is an absolute must for my wife and I because we use a widget instead of calendar event reminders.
Something like Simple Calendar Widget (Android) would be very nice. This widget is highly configurable: size, fonts, group events by date, how many are shown, set background color, change transparency, ... -

+1 on the need for a mobile home screen widget. It would be great for it to be a list view of your calendar items that would default to today's date and scroll forward and backwards.

I agree. I've played around with proton calendar a little bit, but for me to make the switch 100%, I need a widget that I can place on a homescreen.

A good widget is an absolute requirement for me to start using proton calendar.

Yes! Especially if you didn't have to sign in every time you opened the widget to add something! I need one that works by itself, can open immediately on my phone, and then be able to sync w a web version or a desktop version on my computer. Best of all worlds right there!

I agree, this would be huge for me. Just something simple would be great, like a scrollable widget of upcoming events in the next week or so.
This would be the feature to make me set ProtonCalendar as my true calendar app to regularly use.

This would be major for me too. I currently use aCalendar, as RH mentioned it, because its widget is by far the best I could find. Its so usefull to have the full month on the homescreen.
