Lumo payment separate from my other products
Currently, to sign up for Lumo+, you must add it to your current subscription, with the same time period, so if you have a 1-year subscription, you have to pay for 1 year of Lumo, if you have a 2-year subscription, you have to pay for 2 years of Lumo up front.
The other option is to lose all the discounts on your main Proton account in order to activate Lumo+ for the new term.
For example, if you have a 2-year Duo subscription (€11.99 per month) and you only want 1 month of Lumo for both users, you have to switch to the monthly price, which increases the price to €45.97. This is more expensive than Visionary!
Lumo needs to have a separate billing option. Or fix the prices, because I will never subscribe this way. And I want to support it.

Agreed! Lumo has always been a separate paid addon, therefore it should be able to be paid for separately.
Lumo 2.0 is at a point now where I'm interested in subscribing, but not if I'm obligated to pre-pay for the entire duration of my main Proton plan.
Making another Proton account for Lumo is a terrible option, as then I lose all integration (both current and planned).
As a Proton customer, Lumo's "you must buy me for the entirety of your main subscription" billing model is presently keeping me on the free plan for the first AI assistant that I've actually been interested in paying for.

100% agree. I have a 2-year “Unlimited” account and it is forcing me to shift to a monthly price and off my 2-year plan. This is totally underhanded and unacceptable.

That’s called Lumo Plus plan. Click the “Get Lumo Plus” in bottom left corner.
