Make Lumo Android app 'less' or not dependend on Google play like your other apps.
The Lumo app will not initialise because I do not have google play enabled. I experience no issues with your other apps.

Hallo!

I'd like it if there was a Proton app store to be honest. I'd rather get a deGoogled version of every Proton app than have to have Google Play Services on my phone.

I use Proton to avoid Google all together. The only Google app enabled on my android is Photo because I haven't found a suitable alternative. I really want and need to use Lumo but can't if it means enabling Google Play Store. Thanks.

On GrapheneOS, it works for me. I've had some issues but where it's at now I can run it without GPS. However, if it doesn't work without Graphene-specific workarounds, that is really not good. Also, why does it bring up a Google voice mechanism when I click the voice button? I would like a no Google app.

The Lumo app must have Play Services to work, otherwise a pop-up appears at startup saying "Something went wrong
Check that Google Play is enabled on your device and that you're using an up-to-date version before opening the app. If the problem persists, try reinstalling the app." The app is unusable without Google. For a company that wants to be independent and compete with Google, it's a bit disappointing, I admit. I'm using the latest version of the app, on Lineage OS 22.2, SM-P610. -

Forcing people to have a logged-in *Google* accounts of all things is borderline shocking for a company that would have us believe "A better internet starts with privacy and freedom".

Proton users come to Proton primarily to escape Google's toxic ecosystem bubble-- this should be a top priority imo!!
