I would like to see Lumo become as good as ChatGPT is today.
It’s hard to avoid using LLMs now - they work, and they help a great deal in a very demanding world. But something as good as ChatGPT is also a direct link between a corporation and my brain (unfortunately, it’s one-way only). Over time, they’ll have enough information about me - my work, my character, my hobbies, my thoughts… if they don’t already. That gives them a computer-brain interface, one that can be used to program my mind (if you’re into neuroscience and brain chemistry, you’ll know what I’m talking about). After all, people are programmed by their environment-and more and more of that environment is now changing for the benefit of profit, as part of the relationship between the exploiters and the exploited.
P.S. Many disabled people, especially those struggling with mental health, use LLMs to help them with their daily struggles - whether to keep up at work or to help with tasks at home. But at the same time, they have to sell their soul to the devil by giving away deeply personal data.
