Loosen Censorship and Give More Freedom
Allow Lumo to answer freely without unnecessary restrictions, and also add support for images to enhance interaction.

Why was my idea merged with this one? My post is not a comment and will never be seen under this one. This one should be the comment and mine should be the post. This post makes no attempt to make any points at all. It's like you don't even want to fix this issue.

I can see Lumo has great potential however there's one glaring issue I've found with the AI is that you can never get a straight answer out of it if it's even slightly "problematic" as your feedback button would say. 70% of my questions are stonewalled because the AI says it's against policy even for things that I find incredibly mild as a normal speaking human. It feels like I'm talking to HR and that I need to constantly walk on eggshells. Here are my four main points as to why this needs to be changed.
#1 The performance that Lumo offers vs the competition is great, but the policies make it meaningless if no one can get it to interact the way that they want it to. It's like having a Ferrari, but you can't drive it anywhere.
#2 Compared to the competition like ChatGPT, Lumo is very limited by it's policies. Every single question that Lumo refused, the competition has answered fully for free. I wouldn't pay for a nanny AI when I can have more freedom with any other competitor.
#3 Why are there such major restrictions on everything if this is a "private" AI? If it's private, it shouldn't matter because no one can see it.
#4 No one likes to be lectured by a computer, or even lectured at all. When Lumo decides it straight out won't answer or decides to tell someone to essentially "be respectful" it makes the user feel small, not in control and generally unwilling to continue using the service. No one wants to pay for that.
I believe these reasons make a compelling case, as any normal person could come to these conclusions. I would hope to see these policies changed in the very near future. Also for these reasons I myself have put my money where my mouth is and stopped paying for the service. I try to speak with honesty and authenticity when I leave feedback or feature suggestions, so please take what I say into consideration as I've spent a little while thinking about this.

Information should be free and uncensored. Whenever people have not had the ability to access free information, the rise of uneducated and totalitarian regimes have proliferated. You can paywall this feature with Proton Unlimited, and give the option for Proton Families to limit it by user, but the core idea and feature is uncensored Lumo.
