Add subcategories or labels to calendar
This would be great if we could have the option to have sort of "subcalendars" or even labels could work too.
The issue I'm having is that currently, I have one calendar for "Meeting", "Medical appointements", "Party", etc... But in the end, I would like to put them all in a "Personal" calendar (as opposed to "Professional" for exemple). So that I can share my personal calendar with someone so that they can see my availability or stuff like that.
The way it works currently, by having separates calendar for everything is that I have to share all of them,…7 votes -
menstruation tracking
In today's socio-political environment many women are in danger of having their menstrual tracking data used to jail or kill them for "crimes" such as using birthcontrol or having a miscarriage. Having this data in a secure encrypted place will save lives. If menstruation specific events / data tracking could be added to the calendar it would be extremely helpful.

Reply to meeting invite directly from calendar UI
In Outlook, it's possible to reply (not just RSVP, but sending an actual email) to a meeting via context menu of the calendar entry or via the ribbon buttons. (https://filestore.community.support.microsoft.com/api/images/a438f997-7a94-4be9-a79a-3b96507008d5?upload=true)
Being able to reply with an email to the invite directly from the calendar UI without looking for the specific invite is a great efficiency.

Custom default reminders
For most events I would like a reminder a day before and an hour before. Therefore it would be great to make the default reminders customisable and at things like the day before 6 a clock.

Email notifications for Calendar on iOS
Email notifications for Calendar on iOS is a crucial feature. Please bring feature parity to the iOS calendar app, email notifications are sorely missed and the key to switching to Proton calendar from Google calendar.

Autosave Events When Dragging Already Created Event
when we drag the event it pops up the event details and prompts to save the modified time while dragging. It would be nice if that be done automatically instead of constantly popping up event details and prompting to click save before we could drag another event to modify its time. It would help a lot of people who just create events and change their timings only later on. Also it's helpful feature for people who do time blocking.

Calendar as Default Start Location in Proton Mail Desktop App
For people who use Proton Mail Bridge and receive their emails in an alternative mail client it would be great to be able to set the start location in Proton Mail desktop app to Calendar instead of Mail.
Thus the desktop app could be used to access Proton Calendar right away without having to click the corresponding button in its menu bar after each restart.

"Add event to calendar" from apps on mobile devices
The single feature that is preventing me to move fully to Proton Calendar is this one. Many apps (airlines, medical apps, etc) allow you to "add" the event (flight, medical appointment) to your calendar and of course, since Proton Calendar does not have a "calendar" account in the mobile operating system, this doesn't work. Events cannot be added directly to Proton Calendar in one click.
So I also need to have an Apple Calendar for this type of things, suscribe to it in the Proton Calendar app and then it will show. However, travel information and medical appoinments are things…

Skip weekend
Currently, when we add an event for a whole month for example, weekends are included with a solid line.
The idea is to add a button or checkbox when creating an event, so that we can check or toggle "Skip weekends" or "Exclude weekends". This way, when we see the event's colored line, the weekend will be skipped.

Share calendar without details
It would be really great if "Share with Proton users", Permissions: "See all events without details" would exist. Currently only: "See all event details" and "Edit event details" exist as permission options to share with other proton users.
The "Show others when I'm busy" (only when scheduling events) is not enough.
This features, when implemented would improve proton calendars productivity significantly and close the gap to the competition.

Family Planner View
To use proton calendar as a family planer it would be very useful to have a view that displays the days in rows and the different calendars as columns. Given that every family member has his/her own calendar, this view would generate a nice overview of what appointments everyone has on a specific day.

Distinguish recurring events
This is a minor quality-of-life improvement, but one that I - and hopefully others - would find immensely useful. I would like to request the addition of a visual indicator in the main calendar view if an event is a recurring one (Outlook does this with a circular double-arrow symbol). If one instance of a recurring event is altered, that symbol becomes crossed-out, but remains visible as to distinguish between recurring events, altered recurring event entries, and single events.

Ability to Mark event as cancelled, postponed, did not take place
I wish to have the option to indicate a calendar event with statuses such as:
"Cancelled"
"Postponed"
"Did not take place"
or similar. This is intended to keep the event logged in the calendar (as it's not deleted) with a corresponding label. Furthermore, the event should be categorised as a "past" event, ensuring that no notifications or concerns arise on the scheduled day.
A "postponed" event could also be linked to a future event to indicate it was postponed to XYZ. There, it would be easier to automatically clone the main event to date XYZ+3 giving the user to chance…7 votes -
trash
PROBLEM: I deleted a Calendar event, and have no way to undo the delete (i.e. I want to restore a deleted event.)
RECOMMEND: For Calendar, allow restore events for up to 30 days after the event has been deleted.7 votes -
Set the event time in the title
This suggestion would allow a user to enter the following name in the event name:
"19:00h Dinner with mom"
And the calendar would add an event called "Dinner with mom" the selected day at 18:00.7 votes -
Improve Proton Calendar Widget on iOS
Wouldn't it be nice to improve iPhone's default widget?
Today it only shows events for the current day, while it would be desirable to show events for the next 1/2 days as well (like the Apple calendar widget).
I think this is an easy feature to implement and would benefit all users.

Ability to copy event from external calender to personal calender
I am subscribed to an external calendar that has many appointments. Certain appointments, in which I will participate, I would like to be able to copy to one of my local Proton calendars (for example by right clicking on the event, clicking on "duplicate", it then opening the create event screen with a copy of all the entries from the external event and me then selecting a "local" calendar and saving). Unfortunately, as it stands, I have to make a new event by hand and copy all the details over in my calendar every time. This is a feature available…

Integration with TidyCal; Or automatic ICS file to Proton Calendar; or at a minimum fix ICS Import
I realize it would be a big lift to make Proton Calendar work seamlessly with every 3rd party calendar booking app out there. So if you can't prioritze TidyCal, then here are my suggestions in order of preference after this option:
(1) A user should be able to with a couple of clicks, add an ICS file attachment from an email to the Proton Calendar.
(2) A user should be able to upload an ICS file from inside the desktop and mobile apps. Currently this function is broken in both the web browser through the settings, and on the desktop…

Copy Calendar Event into Proton Calendar from Subscription Calendar
In Thunderbird Calendar, I had the ability to copy or ctrl+C an event from a subscribed calendar, and paste it to any of my other calendars.
I work with a job that gives me access to a subscribed calendar and updates my total worked time in that calendar. Adding this function will will help me keep track of changes and to keep a record in my personal calendar.
