Email notification for calender events, similar to Gmail calendar.

I find email notification more useful/important than desktop notification. I tend to filter out desktop notifications as noise. I use email for all important communications, and I class notification of events as important.

Set a reminder for events you put into Proton Calendar where it'll send you an email X number of minutes/hours/days ahead of an event you put on your calendar.
When Proton Calendar is either incorporated into the Proton Mail app or comes out with its own app, have it send push notification, text, email, or all three as a reminder. -

Email notifications, please, otherwise calendar has no use!

Also the only thing keeping me from switching at this time.

Calendar cannot be considered complete without a notification system (email / push).
Also, a communication between received events and Calendar is needed.I'm still attached to the unfortunate Google Calendar only for those reasons.
+ Email notification for Calendar events
+ Push notification for Calendar events
+ Even integration (e.g. an email with an .ics file, for example, should ask to add it to the Calendar) -

Would love to see email alerts in addition to what is already included with the Beta calendar app. I currently have several events defined but receive no alerts on either my phone or on my laptop(s) - not sure why but still trying to figure that part out.

Or some other kind of notification, like a pop up or signal the notification system on my android phone.

I agree; this is the biggest thing keeping me using Google Calendar rather than ProtonCalendar.

The current ProtonCalendar that's in beta has one fatal flaw: no e-mail notifications.
On the desktop, that means that you need to have ProtonCalendar open at all times, as without it, you can't receive notifications.
On mobile, that means you basically never receive notifications, as there are no mobile apps (yet).
For these reasons, the lack of email notifications makes ProtonCalendar unusable for me, as I need to be reminded and informed about my events.
