Bridge support for Calendar (Outlook, Thunderbird etc..)
Calendar accessible through protonmail bridge to use with native mail client

Sending email through a desktop client is difficult as there is no access to Proton Contacts. Provide a method for contacts to be available in desktop clients.

I would love to abandon the software of all the FAANG companies. Unfortunately, Proton Calendar still lacks Thunderbird integration, the ability to make the Android app the default, which in turn makes it impossible to import .ics files. All of this makes it much more difficult to stay organized when you have two apps that are in charge of your day-to-day affairs.

Transitioning from Outlook client to Proton client requires similar functionality. The security aspect is incredible, but with out productivity in day to day use it becomes less valuable.

I concur with this request. Since Proton Drive is still in Beta for web (and no mobile apps yet) at the very minimum it would be great to have support for Calendar. I'm a macOS user already using the bridge with the Mail app, so supporting the Calendar app (as well as the corresponding app for other 3rd party clients as original post suggest) is the next logical choice as browser notifications (Proton Calendar on web) are not very urgent.
From the looks of it, comparing how the Proton Mail Services shows in macOS's Internet Accounts window/panel, it seems to behave the same way as Google where you can select whether you want to import Mail, Calendar, Contacts, etc. So at first glance it seems totally feasible. Unsure how much work is to get this to work across various operating systems and 3rd party clients. Hope the team can get to work on this soon, but keep the great work!

Since protonmail becomes a full featured set of applications users need the ability to use i.e. calendar and drive functionality also in other programs. Such as Thunderbird. Proton-bridge works for email. It would be nice to have also calendar and drive available via such a function.
Calendar could be a ics link. For proton drive needs some form of mount support. -

As described. Not only have mail go over Bridge, but Calendar data too.
Be nice and sweet set up for my Linux Laptop & PC. -

is it possible to integrate all services in the email client? I use Debian with Evolution and it works perfectly, but I miss the calendar and contacts. Such full integration into all email clients would be really nice.

Agree with all prior comments. Also, support should exist for the client application version of Outlook, and not only the web version. The benefit of using Outlook on my pc's is the ability to drag and extent time blocks without the clunky interface of having to go back into the event and manually type in an update time. If I can't use Proton Calendar within Outlook then it has no benefit, or usefulness to me as I need to see both my work and personal calendars side-by-side. As a pro user of Proton services, mail, and VPN is is a significant miss on their part.
I also tried to add Outlook's calendar to Proton's using their ics method however, since I have a Outlook 365 account, via my domain provider it does not populate any calendar information within Proton, and it is painful having to go back and forth over email with their technical support, which again for a paid version is unfortunate but seems to be the way these firms are moving.

The Protonbridge is great for Thunderbird. But with Protonmail creating a full suite it makes sense to make the Bridge work with all of the offerings. Maybe Tasks next??

I'd like this too, on my android phone i use the protoncalendar app but on my desktop/laptop I'd love to use Kalendar with it and integrate it with my os notifications.

I concur. It would be great to use the same bridge for Mail, Calendar, and even contacts since most email clients roll those three into a complete suite. It would make sense to build up the bridge to handle those as well.
Of course, we would need a contacts app (I'm aware of it on ProtonMail) that our phones/tablets can connect to our phones (Android for me) to use that instead of Google or Microsoft.

As long as I can’t combine proton calendar (as private calendar) with my outlook events (work account) I can not use protonmail. I am forced to use for work with Outlook. At the moment I combine my private and outlook in a google calendar. I am not happy with that. So i am looking forward to be able to dig the google calendar for my private life and switch to Proton Calendar.

All for it.
The best User Experience for Outlook users would be the ability to set a calendar within MS Outlook that would seamlessly update via ProtonMail Bridge. -

Update to my previous comment.... THERE IS A WAY to have read only access to your protonmail calendar via outlook and overlay with your other calendars....
In your proton mail calendar go to your settings and "share outside proton" full access + copy the url link
Then in outlook right click on other calendars (bottom left below my calendar tick boxes), add calendar, from internet, paste the url
With this approach I was at least able to see my work, uni and personal proton mail calendars all together in outlook
If I receive an invite to proton (or I want to send one), I will still need to login via the browser to accept/send the invite.
It's also worth noting that this calendar in outlook will only refresh every 4 hours.
So, I can't manage all the appts via outlook but at least I can now see them all together + I know when I get an invite, I just need to go into chrome or my android app to press accept.
Hopefully proton releases an update one day, but this is going to have to be good enough for now.

The absence of CalDAV (and CardDAV) in Proton Calendar was almost a deal breaker for me when I was looking to migrate from my previous email host - who offered both.
I may be old fashioned but I still like the desktop email clients and use Thunderbird on PC & Mac systems. Being able to sync appointments and contact across systems including my phone is pretty key for me.
I managed to overcome this limitation by installing the Radicale Cal/CardDAV server on a spare Raspberry Pi but not everyone has that option.

That would be absolutely a game changer. I use protonmail all the time because I can use it on windows outlook. But as long I can’t combine my privat (proton calendar) with my outlook events it doesn’t make sense for me to use it. Who wants to have two different calendars?

An application for all paid users to integrate their ProtonCalendar accounts with popular calendar clients, such as Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, or Apple Calendar.

I absolutely agree with this. It's already an issue that I can't synchronise my Google Calendar with ProtonCalendar and this is why I cannot use ProtonCalendar at all. There are many plugins that allow for using Google Calendar with Microsoft Outlook as third party applications if there is some reason why direct integration can't be achieved, but for the price that the Visionary subscription costs, and the fact that ProtonMail & ProtonVPN are classing themselves as business-grade products for custom domain mail management, I don't think these features are an unrealistic expectation. I assume that the response will be that it's not done because of "security reasons".

Hi - Love your service. Is there an app that I can put on my phone to sync my work calendar (Outlook) and personal calendar (ProtonCalendar)? Thanks !!

I have a customer who uses Outlook and wants the calendar to sync across his android phone and desktop computer using bridge. I can't find an example where this is currently supported, so would be great if it could work that way.
