Customize event colors
Apologies if this is already a feature and I couldn't figure it out...
It would be nice to assign calendar events different colors to quickly identify different types of appointments.
Thanks and appreciate all of the great work!!!
Hi everyone, this feature is now available on web, Android, iOS and desktop!

I'm going to have to stop using this calendar if I can't have different colors for different events. It is way too hard to use as it is right now.

Agreed. I cannot use this calendar until this option is available. I use the calendar specifically for my business and all customers are color coded based on frequency, etc.

Please add this feature soon proton team! I get such bad tunnel vision when my calendar events all overlap in the same colour. TY!

Colors are a for-real deal when utilizing the strength of a daily go-to calendar. For folks on the move and in the know, colors are a massive asset to the daily communication for keeping things in order.

Agree. I need this feature. Really useful to prioritize events.

In Gmail Calendar, you can label different events with different colors, which can really help organize a busy schedule. I'd love it if Proton Calendar had the same option. Thank you again for all the good work you do! I'm slowly migrating everything from Google to Proton.

It would be nice to be able to mark important events and such or to categorize appointments using different colors (besides putting it into a separate calendar)

Not the solution/granularity you asked for but I defined different calendar with different colors for different types like personal, wife, child, work. Then I can create events in one of the above calendar and it is automatically of that color. Helps a lot!

Use Case: Although events are color code per calendar, there are situations where you could have events in multiple calendars that pertain to the same category like doctors visit, parties, recurring reminders etc. It is nice to color code them and get a glimpse/hint just by looking at the color.
Thank you!

And for those of us who are very colour blind, it would be very nice to be able to choose from a suite of shapes or characters or numbers to identify associated events. (My eyesight sorts all images into yellow, blue, or black, so colouring severely restricts my sorting abiity.)

That is a nice idea!

Can you please create the option to choose different colors for different calendar events... ProtonMail folders already have this feature, and it would be invaluable to have in ProtonCalendar.
Thank you. -

As a further convenience, it would be nice to be able to change the color of an event after it's done (i.e. Pay X Bill as a calendar event, I can change from red to gray to signify that I've completed it) - this functionality is available in Google Calendar, would be a great to have here!

Please! I want to dump Google calendar, but it's very handy that they have the option for all events in one calendar, with different color options.

Agree. Color coding has become a basic function on most calendars. I use it frequently to manage the family schedule. One color is making it difficult to manage at a glance.

Create 1 calendar for each type of event with colour and notification you want:
=> go to Settings , select Calendar. Then click on Add new calendar. When you go back to your calendar you can select all calendars (= type of event) you need to show
