Shared calendars - two-way sync (read/write between Proton, Office365, Google)
I use Protonmail for my private calendar, but Outlook/Google for work. I would like to have Proton Calendar integrated in e.d. the Android native app so I have all my calendars in one.

I would *love* to use proton calendar for my personal calendar, but yes, I need to be able to access Google calendars in the same app read/write to sync certain calendars with others, and ideally import/export Outlook/office365 calendars to coordinate personal life stuff around my work schedule as well.
I fully understand there wouldn't be any privacy gained for the externally-hosted calendars, but I have no control over that anyway. At least this way I could keep my personal calendar secure without loosing the convenience of managing all my calendars from one app.
If it matters, I am a paid proton mail user for about a year now, and I love the service. Just trying to use more of it!

100% Agree, If it could be able to connect GCalendar and Outlook on proton and have the possibility to create, modification, sync an event to proton on any different agenda, the solution would be perfect

I was just trying to convince my wife to join Proton to use a shared calendar. I thought after the Proton calendar is out of beta this feature will be implemented - unfortunately I have to wait a bit longer.
Btw. a shared calendar should be editable for everyone - a read-only link does not serve our purposes.
Please make this a top priority feature.

Agree that this is crucial and the one thing that is keeping me from switching to Proton Calendar. I need to be able to track appointments at work, where we're required to use Outlook, on personal calendar.
IMO the best thing would be the ability to forward appointments from Outlook to the personal Proton calendar and have them show there *without* being accepted on the Proton calendar (and thus triggering duplicate "accepts" for the meeting organizer). This is what I currently do with Google calendar. But whatever the solution, something needs to be done to allow this kind of integration/display of work appointments on private Proton calendar.

I can't even believe this is supposed to be an idea.
It's a basic requirement of an internet calendar.
I just convinced someone to join Proton precisely to pull them off Google for our shared calendars, only to discover this isn't possible yet...

This is a fantastic idea.
I just left google, and this will be a giant obstacle for my wife and I.
We use the google shared calendar all of the time.
It was extremely convenient to make it our default calendar and when one of us added an event it magically showed up on the other's phone.
FYI we use iPhones.
Also, it would notify us by email that an event was created.
So, I agree that google is evil but they do have some feature rich applications and a shareable calendar is gigantic, especially for families with kid schedules.
Please make this a top priority. -

Can't use proton calendar if it doesn't easily sync (2-way) with outlook.

We can now add shared calendar, it is a start, but it would be nice if we can create, from proton, an event in a shared google calendar.
(a lot of us can not totaly quit Google Calendar for shared business calendar) -

Syncing with Exchange, OWA, Google would be a dream!

Many of the comments in here seem to be somewhat non-specific, but I read them as being just another way of saying "I wish Proton Calendar supported CalDav" - there is another feature request for that in this forum.

This is the issue that is preventing me from using the Protnmail service more widely. I would move my small company account to Protonmail if the Proton calendar were able to be used in 3rd-party calendaring clients on MacOS and Windows.

As long as I can’t combine proton calendar (as private calendar) with my outlook events (work account) I can not use protonmail. I am forced to use for work with Outlook. At the moment I combine my private and outlook in a google calendar. I am not happy with that. So i am looking forward to be able to dig the google calendar for my private life and switch to Proton Calendar.
The"Create a link to your calendar and share it with anyone outside Proton." -option is not the solution. I don't want to share my private Proton Calendar into outlook. I want it to be pivate

I signed up for a paid account assuming that this would be a feature along with syncing my mail. I'm a bit disappointed it is not currently a feature and would love to see the ability to synchronise with an external client

As of 10/2021, you can subscribe to other calenders and even "Create a link to your calendar and share it with anyone outside Proton. Only you can add or remove events." - see https://account.protonmail.com/u/1/calendar/calendars

HUGE. I use Evolution as my mail client and would love to be able to synch the calendar in desktop apps with ProtonMail... not to have to export every appt, meeting , task every time.

They need to do it.
I hate using two calendars 😢 -

I agree. I would love to have proper role management and simply allow my assistants to access my Proton Calendar, but barring that I need to automatically sync up with google calendar so I can see the calendar events my staff schedules.

Proton Calendar is worthless for day-to-day use without the ability to sync/subscribe to other calendars (both directions) and share calendars with other Proton users. my schedule and my calendar do not live in isolation. :( Outlook calendars at work, google calendars with other family members and organizations, the occasional apple calendar, those are very important. And sharing with my family or organization that are part of my Proton account, that is just stupid to not have working even in an early release ?/?

I'd love to be able to see (and preferably add to/remove events from) my Proton Calendar in the Mac Calendar app and Calendar/Fantastical iOS apps
