Add details to Email event reminders
Please add the actual name of the event and its details to the email notification.
I was excited to have the email notification option added, which was the last thing keeping me from switching completely from Google. However, the email notifications themselves are disappointing, as they don't even say what the event is, so I have to open my calendar separately to see. I keep the notifications in my email as a reminder and delete them when I'm done, and I need to know what the actual reminder is for without having to open the calendar.
Work on this feature request is underway, starting with iOS.
🗓️ A new calendar invite widget shows the main event info in all emails that contain event invites. Tapping on it takes you to the #ProtonCalendar app directly from your inbox.

Please note this feature request was incorrectly summarised. It's not just about email invites, but also email notifications (aka reminders). They are pretty useless without the event details.
It would be very much appreciated if it eventually works on Android and Windows too.

However, it would also be necessary to fill the subject of the reminder email with the event title. Currently the only thing that says is that one event is taking place.

The current form of reminders is useless. The point is to know what you have to remind directly in the list of unread emails. If you have to open it to see the detail and you can’t handle the task directly, you have to mark it unread again just to keep it. It is just a formatting text matter for a big functional improvement.

...I don't think this is what they (or anyone else) were asking for?

++ reminders are pretty useless in their current form. Just have the title of the reminder be the name of the event, please!

This should be trivial. The information is in the event, it is just formatting the notification. It should not be platform specific.

This worries me.
This shouldn't be platform specific -- the issue is the emails themselves should be giving us these details (particularly in the subject line), regardless of where I'm viewing the message. I get the impression this isn't the feature actually asked for here.

It's not just the details though. The email title should contain the event title. E.g, if the event title is "Dentist appointment" then the email title should be something like:
"Dentist appointment 08:30 AM Thursday, August 7"
rather than
"Reminder: event starting at 08:30 AM (GMT+1) on Thursday, August 7"

It is so crucial to me that i have started looking for another calendar service that does this.

I'm a strong supporter of this. I also use email reminders as a kind of to-do list hovering in my inbox, and as long as the email subject line is generic in Proton Calendar reminders, I'm unfortunately not going to be able to make use of the product I'm paying for.
I also hope that any implementation isn't limited to a single platform. Only having a fix on, say, iOS, feels like it runs contrary to the principle of something as inherently multi-platform as email. -

Just chiming in to emphasize my vote, I use my email inbox as a ToDo/Calender reminder, so I would really appreacitate adding at least the Calender Event title in the email reminder subject, like it was with the Google apps. Love you! Thanks in advance!

Long ago and far away I worked for a company making high tech equipment for the oil industry, they had their own operating company who supplied a service to oil companies using the said equipment. They didn't concentrate much on this service, didn't make money and the whole business went bust.
The lesson learnt? You need your bread and butter money coming in, from basic services, then you can fund your grander ideas.
Proton please take note. Lots of people like me PAY for an Email system which we could otherwise get for free (ok with little privacy and all our secrets sent in mail available to the provider)
Spend less time on creating a front end for services already available on the web like WHOIS and MORE TIME providing a calendar service that actually tells you what event you are being reminded of.
Of the twelve or so unread Emails I have six or seven are calendar events I have to keep opening to remind myself of what commitments I have over the next few weeks.
Difficult?

Can we please get a status update on this feature request? It has been over a year since a Proton Admin posted that work on this was underway. I have been a paid Proton Mail user for over 4 years now but I still cannot use Proton Calendar due to the limitations that this feature request is addressing. I am currently using Zoho Calendar instead.

An update on this would be appreciated. The statement
>Work on this feature request is underway, starting with iOS.
seems to miss the point though as email is platform agnostic. The lack of this feature is really the only thing preventing me from fully switching away from Google services and paying for proton accounts for all of my family members.

The subject line of calendar email notifications should include the specific title of the event, rather than using a generic phrase like “Reminder: event starting...”. This makes it immediately clear what the reminder is about.
When I receive 5–10 reminders per day via email, all of these emails look exactly the same in my inbox. I have no overview of which reminder refers to which event. It’s extremely confusing. Even when I open the email, I have to search for the event title first. That doesn’t make much sense.

At this point I find email notifications rather useless and plan not to use them. I get an inbox full of proton calendar event reminders with times only but not event titles. I have to open each email to see which event it applies to. Highly ineffective and annoying.

☝ Just imported all my calendar events from Google just to find that my email reminders look exactly the same. Useless. It's been a year since this *basic feature* request has been opened by Proton and still nothing. I would have been fired long ago if it took me this long to get anything done.

When a calendar event issues an email reminder, the email does not descibe what the reminder is actually for, so you have to then take extra steps to open the calendar and see. If the email notification could contain the details of the calendar item itself, then the extra steps would not be required.
Thank you -

One can only hope in the next millennium will be able to see the title of the calendar entry on the web version on a PC too
