Sync Now button for external calendars
Having the ability to see the last sync time and force an immediate update if needed should not cause much strain on proton servers as the feature button would only be used as needed.

Reminder emails - appointment details in Subject line
Would it be possible to add the appointment/meeting tite in the Subject line for reminders that are send via email? So when you get the reminder you do immediately know what is about instead some generic title and then you have to go to your calendar to check which appointment the reminder refers to? Thanks.

Calendar Web & Desktop apps: Forward slash "/" keyboard shortcut to initiate search, just like Mail :)
Hi team!
It would be amazing if we could initiate search in Proton Calendar web and desktop apps by simply pressing the forward slash "/" key. Functionality is already there in Proton Mail, and it's so bloody handy.

[Slow loading] Only load the current month instead of the whole calendar
The loading is pretty slow. It would be nice to not load the whole calendar before displaying it, the current day and right after the current month is the most frequently consulted.

Many important dates are missing from US holiday calendar
The recently added holiday calendars are a great addition, but I find that the holidays included for my country are too limited. I live in the US, and what our government designates as "official" holidays lacks a large number of significant holidays and other important dates.
Some notable holiday exclusions include Father's Day, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, Halloween, and even Easter!
As for other important dates that are missing, Tax Day, Election Day, and the start and end of Daylight Saving Time may not be holidays, but they are still very important dates to know!

I cannot seize the day -- too subdued color
I have difficulty finding “today” in the calendar (in any skin).
I think the colors are subdued and the emphasis is modest.
I would like to see “Today” more prominently displayed.

iOS Week view in Landscape orientation
So, today we (finally) have a "Week View" in iOS Proton Calendar! 🎉
Thank you for adding it, appreciated.
However, the Calendar app, for whatever reason, only presents in Portrait (vertical) mode, and does not rotate to Landscape (horizontal) mode when the phone is rotated.This means that the "Week View" is really (really!) squeezed and not particularly useful.
It would be great to have:
1) the ability to use Proton Calendar in Landscape mode (for any view, but particularly in Week view); and

In “Contacts” make address format country specific
In “Contacts” make address format country specific.
In the UK:
First line is either property name or street
Second line which isn't always present is a village or area
Third line is the major conurbation.
Fourth line is Post Code

Include contacts from used device's contacts instead of only Proton Mail's contacts and make it possible to create new contacts for events
It came to me as I created a new event in my agenda, which is Proton Calendar, and tried to add a contact to the event, I then noticed that only my Proton Mail's contacts were available, I couldn't add a contact from my smartphone's contacts nor create a new contact for the event. 😟

Show more than 3 daily tasks
For the moment, I can only see 3 daily tasks for which no specific time period is attributed. Yet I have in general more than 3 daily tasks which obliges me to click on "XX more tasks" section, and blocks me from seeing as a whole my daily task in the week.
the visionning of daily tasks should be configurable (share of the space between timeless tasks section and the time table) or there should be limit of at least 10 tasks, not for 3.

Automatic Update Alerts For New Entries In Shared Calendars
I am experiencing a challenge with Proton Calendar in our family's shared calendar setup. The current issue is the absence of automatic notifications when someone with edit access adds a new event. As it stands, my spouse and I manually notify each other after creating an entry, but this method is prone to human error. If one of us forgets to communicate, the only reminders we receive are through the calendar's default notifications.

Toggle to split desktop notifications for mail and calendar (to prioritize event notifications)
Almost everyone needs calendar notifications on their desktop/laptop, but many people don't want email notifications distracting them while they work. We need to not miss our meetings and events while also not getting distracted by emails.
Please either:
Split calendar notifications from mail notifications with a toggle for each instead of just "notifications on" or "notifications off"
Or, provide Proton Calendar as a separate desktop app

Add agenda view to Day, 3 Days, and Week views
On iOS currently when you are on “Day”, “3 days” and “Week” view the lower part of the screen is a schedule view.
It would be nice if there was an option to change that lower part to the Agenda view so there is no scrolling needed to see your scheduled things.

Design change: relocate time marker in agenda view
Currently, in agenda view, the time range of an event (ie: 8:00pm - 10:00pm) takes precedence over the event itself and there is no visual distinction between the two.
Would love to see something more akin to Apple’s design where the time is aligned to the right hand side of the field (and in a less bold font) giving focus to the event itself

Typing of Date in Calender Desktop App
When creating a new Appointment in the Desktop/WIndows Calender App, it is not possible to just type the Date as " 23.12.2024".
You always have to use the Monthly overview to skip to the event Date.
So when i want to set an Appointment for 2025, i have to click through the whole years of 2024 and 2025 to set my appointment.6 votes -
Option for persistent notification pop-ups
Currently alert popups appear for a few seconds and then disappear.
Add setting to allow notification pop-ups to persist and accumulate. First one triggers at 9:00 and stays visible. Second one triggers at 9:30 and appears with the first one. Others added later as they trigger.
Act on them individually to dismiss, snooze, or edit. Also provide snooze all and dismiss all.
Whether all or individually, Snooze option offers a few standard durations, one of them a user-defined default which is editable.

Please extend the space and capabilities available for each calendar entry. I pay for Proton and expected a calendar at least as capable as Google Calendar. I have been very disappointed by Proton Calendar, as it is still inferior to Google Calendar in the function of the size capability of individual calendar entries.

let us see the whole month in the calendar widget on android.
let us see the whole month in the calendar widget on android. maybe each day can have a mini colour coding so we can see whether there are multiple events that day and how long time they will take. like if we booked hairdresser, work and doctors appointment.
