Sharing a calendar using existing contacts
Hello,
I would have 3 proposals related to the sharing of the agenda:
- Allow to share one of my calendars with another ProtonMail user present in my contacts.
- Allow to invite another ProtonMail user present in my contacts to participate to an event.
- Allow a specific ProtonMail user in my contacts to edit one of my calendars. This is very useful for example when your spouse is not available to know if she will be available at a specific date and to define a date with someone while inviting her to this event.
This can also be…459 votesSharing a calendar is available on Web.
On next iterations we would like to enable the editing permission on mobile apps and add in the future to only share the "busy" information

Drag to change event duration
It would be nice to be able to change the duration of an event by dragging the event's bottom edge up and down instead of having to modify it in order to accomplish this.
Thanks!

Edit/Change calendar event on Android
On Android, we are unable to change an existing calendar entry if there are people invited. We then must go to the browser to update the existing calendar entry. We need ability to edit/change calendar entries that were created on the browser version, but to edit them on the Android app.

Duplicate event
Would be nice to have an option to duplicate an existing event with small changes.
Use case: irregularly recurring events that need to be scheduled one at a time(e.g. barber, massage, dentist visits)296 votesDuplicating an event is possible from the web app. Coming soon to other platforms.

Edit foregin events on mobile Proton Calendar
Please, add possibility to modify events that I have been invited to on mobile calendar app.
Currently, to change e.g. category, one needs to do this using web app. Even though the event has been send from another Proton user.

Agenda list view
The web calendar has a "Day", "Week" and "Month" view selection. I suggest adding an "Agenda" view as in Google Calendar. This simply is a list view of coming events.
Why? To present a more compact view of future events.

Make location and description visible without opening event
It's possible to add location and description data to events, however in order to view this data you actually need to click on an event and open it.
If you schedule an event to be several hours long, the visual element of the event is quite large, but only the upper portion is actually occupied by text, the remaining bottom is blank.
Why not use that space to make the location and description visible so we can get a quick overview of events without needing to open them? (The title and time are bold font, so why not make the…

Set the event time in the title
This suggestion would allow a user to enter the following name in the event name:
"19:00h Dinner with mom"
And the calendar would add an event called "Dinner with mom" the selected day at 18:00.7 votes -
roll over
events that stretch over two days (from before midnight till after are only visible at the top in the app as if they were all day events. This makes work difficult, they should be visible in the day view with full length. This feature is available when using third party software, like thunderbird.

Add support for webhooks (useful in automation tools like zapier, etc.)
Through such feature, proton calendar & protonmail could be useful in automated scheduling.

Multiple timezones
I have a big use case for more than two timezones, as I have multiple clients in different parts of the world. I realize that would be hard on the UI as that would prob squish stuff but tbh having that information all there would be worth it.

Custom 'Default event duration' for a calendar.
Make it possible to set a custom 'Default event duration' for a calendar instead of the by Proton preset values of 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes.
I for example need 8 hours default even duration for my work calendar.

Customize calendar widgets
The new calendar widget is awesome! I can now actually switch to use proton calendar as my main calendar app.
One thing I would really like to see is the ability to make the widget background transparent. I guess to make it suitable for other user's requirements, it could perhaps allow the user to select a color (including transparency value).
This would allow me to make the calendar look nice on my homescreen and let me see more of my background. Currently it's the only thing with a colored background so it stands out a bit.
It would also be…

Edit events in an external calendar
Enable creating, editing and deleting events in external calendars.
Currently you can only add an external calendar as view only:
https://protonmail.com/support/knowledge-base/calendar-subscribe/I have a Google cal shared with multiple people (they all use Gcal). We all add and update events and receive notifications. I would like to continue to do all of this but using my proton calendar.

Drag the appointment directly without clicking the "save" button again
It's inefficient to drag the scheduled appointment into a new time slot by clicking the "save" button again. is it possible to drag directly without clicking the "save" button just like Outlook?
