  3. Event-only listing format

I use my calendar to keep track of everything -- appointments, events, reminders, etc. Because of this, a single day may have entries at 0800 and 2300. This means that I can't see my entire day's entries on the standard hour-by-hour display. I'd like to have the option of a display that shows each entry as a single line. Something like the following is what I mean:

    Sun, Mar 26
    Mon, Mar 27
    ● 10:33 event

    Tue, Mar 28
    ● 19:00-2100 Meeting

    Wed, Mar 29
    ● 08:00-09:00 Breakfast meeting
    ● online resources available
    ● 21:00 Save browser history as text…

  4. Make ALL-DAY events sorted alphabetically

If calendar simply sorted ALL-DAY events alphabetically, it would present a cleaner, more organized view to the user.

  6. Add Hebrew language and better RTL (right to left) support

It's very difficult to use right to left languages in a left to right interface. Giving you already support the most common languages in the world I think RTL support should be a priority given it's much more difficult in LTR environment than other unsupported LTR languages.

I am specifically talking about adding Hebrew language but more generally and in relation to that also have the interface/application better support RTL languages.

  7. Add images to entries

I guess it would be a nice way of customization to add images to calendar entries as a background. It's just for customization stuff, not really crucial but it may be nice in some cases.
Images could be stored in the drive and be deleted, e.g., 1 week after the entry has passed to save storage

  8. Easier Entry Editing

I tend to slightly adjust my entries frequently throughout the day. However, currently, when changing the duration or time or an entry (which are the most common edits I make), I always have to enter the new times manually. Therefore, I suggest the following functions:

    1. Simpler dragging of entries
Instead of having to confirm every time after dragging an entry to a different time, it should stay there. A possible pop-up would be something like "undo" or "reverse", in case of e.g. a mouse-slip. But when re-scheduling everything to be one hour later, I simply don't want to have to…

  9. Modify single event in recurring series *when there are other participants*

Currently, in Calendar Beta, I have a recurring series that includes 1 other confirmed participant. If I want to modify one event in this series, the change has to be applied to all events in the series. I am aware that this problem has been resolved for recurring events that do not have other participants. Please make it so that the modification of a series is always the same, whether or not there are participants.

  10. Compress calendar to fit 24 hours vertically.

In a browser on a monitor with 1440 vertical resolution (fairly common these days), I can fit ~23 hours and I am left with a scrollbar that scrolls just 1 hour. This is very annoying.

It would be great if the calendar automatically resized things to fit all 24 hours on one page, particularly if it is really close already. Alternatively, consider making the default fit a day on a standard sized monitor in a browser with a "normal" amount of chrome (address bar, tabs, bookmark bar).

Another option is to just allow the user to indicate how many hours…

  11. Make title & location auto-fill if it's been entered before

If I enter an appointment that repeats often enough, it would be quicker if an auto-fill feature could automatically enter the whole title and/or address just by entering the first couple of letters. Example: if I make an appointment for a haircut every 5 weeks, I could enter "H" and it would automatically fill the whole word "Haircut". Similarly, typing the first couple of digits could fill the entire address, if it's been entered before.

  12. Customization options for Android Calendar Widget

Dear Proton team, I would love if there were customization options for the Calendar Widget, such as (from most to least important):

    – Display days without events in the list (seeing that the next two days are free of events positively affects my mental health and I bet I'm not alone with that one)

    – Display past events from the current day (this is handy if the calendar doubles as a to-do list)

    – Change color scheme to Dark Mode (or at least automatically use same color scheme as Calendar App)

    – Set how many weeks/months you want it to…

  13. Enable hotkeys for calendar

It would be nice to have hotkeys for navigation in calendar, like next week, this week, jump to today, change view mode.

  14. Allow Calendar "Name" Updates When Editing Event

When editing a calendar event it does not appear that the calendar "name" can be changed. The entry defaults to the main calendar. Allow the calendar "name" to be updated.

  15. Android themed icon support

Please make Calendar's icon theme-able. More and more 3rd party apps already support it, Proton Calendar sticks out like a sore thumb.

  16. Remove colon (:) necessity for easier scheduling

Would be great if we could input "1845" and not necessarily "18:45" so we can just use the numpad and go on to the next input field.

I use the keyboard to fill in the whole thing but typing the colon takes more time and just inputting numbers and just pressing "tab" would make it a lot easier.

  17. Long Press Event to Move (Android)

Why do we not already have long press to change the time of an event on Android (can't speak for iOS)? This is an obvious enhancement to make (every other calendar app does this), and I am increasingly annoyed that I can't move already existing events on Android without clicking the event, clicking the time, saving the time, and saving the event - like 4+ different steps that should only take one step!

  18. Setting event time with keyboard

I'm trying to use the keyboard more and the mouse less. When I create a new event that is not an all-day event l always stumble when setting the time. Let's say I want the start time to be 08:00. I start typing "08". The time picker pops up, and the time "08:00" is highlighted. So far so good. But now I expect to be able to select the highlighted time by tapping the enter key, the space key or the tab key. None of them work. I either have to click in the time picker with the mouse or…

  19. Abilit to edit cal entry after sent/shared with others

Our family uses Proton Calendar and are frequently sharing events with one another. After sharing an event, I'd like ability to edit that event instead of having to delete the entry and re-enter it. I can edit cal entries if they are on my own calendar, but if I share an event, I cannot edit time or other details without deleting, re-entering, and resending/resharing with family.

  20. calendar

On the fence users (using free accounts to trial Proton products & services) have more options in the pro-privacy e2ee market space now. Skiff for example already offers a free e2ee calendar with options to choose various colors. Proton needs to get smart and offer the same value at minimum. My bet is that many (millions maybe) people holding back from trialing proton because the feature set just doesn't measure up to Google calendar and now not even Skiff Calendar.. More color options in the free accounts will only increase your user base esp if you build out a task…
