Delete (unlink) aliases from ProtonMail account
To protect ProtonMail user privacy and anonymity, we need an option to permanently unlink (delete) aliases from ProtonMail accounts.
Address counter can stay incremented, but the deleted identity (alias) should not be linked to the main account any more. Unlinked e-mail address should stay permanently disabled to prevent address recycling.
A 7, 14 or 30 day deletion waiting time can be implemented to prevent spammers from abusing ProtonMail aliases.

Please allow delete if address never used. I made a typo and was surprised I can't edit or delete. For comparison, hushmail allows deletion and unlimited identities.

I agree with this idea. An alias can be used for a partial time, and it must be deleted. Voted!

Yes x 1,000,000. I am currently paying for a couple different email providers over the past year and on my list of pro/con, this is in the negative column for ProtonMail and + column for others. With the pm.me aliases, they can only be disabled, and this is not really disposable if you need a truly disposable email. It seems weird, because other aliases with domains can be deleted right from the panel.

100% this.
Evidently the option to delete additional addresses was removed so that adding additional addresses could become a paid feature, but like the OP stated, just keep the address counter incremented and then you can allow users to delete unwanted addresses (permanently disassociating them from their accounts) without it impacting the ProtonMail business model.
This seems like a small but very annoying oversight on ProtonMail's part! -

Startmail.com have the ability to delete alias email addresses and to create new ones. Why can't Protonmail???

My recovery email is wrong and I deleted my proton acct but it's still rejecting my outlook mail. I need to know why it's still linked I can't get any of my emails, I have had to create a whole new email just for a response here .

Yes, please!
Also in favor of the deletion waiting time if that helps to prevent any issues of abuse. -

I agree, too. When I tried to set up an alias, I mistyped. Now I've wasted an alias and I don't know what to do.

I now use my own domain and aliases with it as they let you delete those ones. It's unfortunate I'm stuck with aliases with a ProtonMail domain.
