Litecoin payment option

Please accept Litecoin as a payment method for premium accounts and donations. While Bitcoin is a great investment asset, for normal low level payments below multiple-thousand level, Litecoin is much better. Bitcoin transaction fees are already around $5. Currently Litecoin fees are around $0.05 or 5 cents. Even the advent of lightning networks on Bitcoin will not make Bitcoin cheaper since Litecoin will also have Lightning network payments and channel costs will be 100x more expensive on Bitcoin.

    As fees for sending bitcoin have increased significantly, I find myself using litecoin to send payments accross. This would make protonmail standout, and would bring in a lot of extra business.

    Supporting crypto payments would be a fantastic addition, however, I would suggest that you also take a look at Ethereum. It is poised to become the standard in blockchain technology and it's ability to support smart contracts could literally become the backbone of services like Protonmail in the future. Definitely superior to Litecoin.

    Hi, I have just paid my annual subscription of $48 from South Africa. In reality it cost me $58 (21% extra!!) with fees. Please can we pay with cryptos. Any one is cheaper than using a credit card from a foreign country! It help your business as well.

    Litecoin is currently ranked 5th in terms of market cap. One of the earliest cryptos that's stood along bitcoin since 2008 and stood the test of time. 1 cent transaction fees and liquid markets in all currencies.

    Litecoin is a good form of payment in that it is faster and cheaper than Bitcoin and has many upcoming features that will continue to make it one of the top cryptocurrencies.
