YubiKey support
The dedicated Protonmail community deserves a real response from the crack team of Protonmail scientists and engineers. When are you implementing Yubikey or are is your tag line just bs?

Now that the W3C standard is finalized i hope that we will see it implement in 2020.

Agreed, that's why I'm leaning towards tutanota as they have U2F security key support

I'm saying goodbye to Proton Mail in the new year, and going with an email service that allows 'Yubikey' for 2F authorisation. Proton has had long enough!

Cmon I pay a lot of money for this account and since security is it's top line bill support for Yubikey 5Ci and all its goodness, should be top of the list. Physical key in my line of work is a must-have. Support the movement please asap.

I remember there was the fear that the security key wouldn't be working on an iPhone. Now that YubiKey 5Ci is out, I have the impression that this should be solved. Any other reason to not support it yet?

The fact the your only option for 2FA is a well-know n to be easily hackable authenticator app on a smartphone? You have advanced encryption, but have no technological leadership or innovation for a token like yubikey? Get with the times, I use Yubikey as my sole source of 2FA for fastmail.com, and these tokens are not new, nor are they complicated nor are they expensive. Step Up or stop bragging! Walk the Walk if you are striving to sell "security - sorry Google authenticator is NOT security, so please step into and demonstrate some integrity - the lack of 2FA tech for protonmail is abysmal

So... Any updates? Protonmail team announced some new security features, but what about FIDO U2F?

I would really like to see FIDO2 support so my Solo keys can work with ProtonMail!

Hello,
Do you have more information on the implementation of U2F? I think that this feature would make logging in faster and easier and I was wondering when it might be available to users.
Thank you very much

8 months to add Yubikey support..... I have added it to sites in under half a day.
What's your motive for not adding this?
Seriously considering moving to another email provider.

Safari Technology Preview - Release 82 supports native U2F also now, tested with GitHub and Google. that's one less excuse you have for not delivering on this.

It is possible to use HW token Yubikey for 2FA together with the Yubikey Authenticator. It would be great if you can support Yubikey without requiring the yubikey Authenticator.

Well, Protonmail premium user, also losing interest in renewing. On my way to other service. I think you have sufficient amount of paid users to not notice such departures, so just my two cents without drama. For me only one way to restore lost account - by other mail address - is a bit too small to feel my data is secured. Yes, encryption and so on, it's great work, but it is not everything. U2F would be a good choice.

I agree with the others- you're a security and privacy-centric service, but you STILL don't have support for U2F and physical hardware keys for authentication? Please add YubiKey support- again, I'm shocked this has taken so long and has been just put on the back burner for years. You keep saying it's coming soon... since 2017 at least. It's now 2019.
