How can we improve Proton?

  2. Portable Setup (no EXE setup files)

    Can you please think to provide portable setup files for all OS? It's not always possible to launch the install EXE files, as per no admin permission

    Like many others, I've been using a private Discord server to host images to post around the web, but by the end of the year, that is no longer going to be possible. I've been looking around for a way to host my images to post online, but I'm worried that the hosting sites I'm finding online are going to harvest data or train AI on my files.   4. Enable contributing to appications' frontend sourcecode in a simple, straight-forward and transparent way.

    As a long-time user of Protons services, Despite these services being great on its own, what I noticed throughout the general opinion, when comparing these to Gmail or Apple is the concession that is given to Proton in terms of features to the great idea of the privacy. I do not buy it, I want it all, and I want it now.

    What do I pay for? I am not an evangelist of privacy if for that privacy I have to sacrifice for my comfort, not because I am superficial, but because I know that both are possible.

  7. Archiving in protonmail.com should automatically open the next message

    Currently, if you are archiving a message (via button or shortcut) then the "read panes" (opened email) is left blank and you need to manually click on the next email. It would make sense for the application to automatically select the next message in the current folder. This would allow one to quickly archive a bunch of messages by pressing A repeatedly.

    I know that you can remedy this somewhat by using keyboard to move to the next message and open it, and archive but it makes very little logical sense to not automatically open the next message.

    Well with all the services proton offers now i’ve been able to get away from google and microsoft services completely…. Except for one we all gotta have because it’s really so massive it’s in a league of its own . That is youtube ! It’s the last link i have to have to google .   12. Explore Outlook PST in Proton Drive or import into existing email folder/account

    Usage:
    To import a .pst file and select which email account you'd like to use. Messages are brought in and act as your regular email or you can select an option to essentially 'explore it' like a subfolder after it's been uploaded to your Proton drive.

    Background:
    PST files act as a local storage copy of archival messages that you don't want hogging up your mailbox account. However, in some instances such as Proton Mail, it might be beneficial to have access to that backup copy such as from your Proton Drive.

    To reduce the risk of MITM attacks (e.g., eIDAS 2.0 proposal in the EU) and increase visibility of any code tampering for Proton resources, please consider a separate extension that works like the Code Verify extension produced by Meta: "We’ve given Cloudflare a cryptographic hash source of truth for WhatsApp Web’s JavaScript code. When someone uses Code Verify, the extension automatically compares the code that runs on WhatsApp Web against the version of the code verified by WhatsApp and published on Cloudflare.   17. Add share sheet to mobile

    I would like to be able to send files (either individual or batch-selected) from the Proton Drive UI to other applications.

    For example: Google Drive's UI allows one to select one or more files and send them as attached files in a Discord chat.
