  1. Auto-lock for all apps and platforms

I would appreciate it if all Proton apps had the auto-lock feature on all platforms.

And please include following options for the timeout:

    • Custom timeout value
    • Lock on system lock
    • Lock when browser closed

So it would be great if we could set the Auto-lock timeout in all Proton applications on all platforms to a custom value.

Also the option to lock the app only whenever I lock the device or close the browser would be a great feature.

  2. Select all messages in search results

Add an option to select all search results, in the same manner that you can select all messages in inbox or other folders when you click on the "select all" checkbox:

"You selected 50 messages. Select all in Sent."

One thing this will allow users to do is search for sent message older than a certain date and delete them all. As it stands, we have to go through and delete them 50 messages at a time.

  3. Secure remote control like RustDesk / TeamViewer

Hello, perhaps Proton could offer a remote connection/control signalling server, which would ONLY make the initial connection, as in users x want to connect to user y and Proton simply give each client the connection address; and after that the Proton would disconnect and all data would be e2e between the clients themselves, not needing anymore server inbetween.
Something like TeamViewer used to be easier to use, but now requires more hassle and is less secure, with data travelling thru the tv servers.
There is RustDesk that uses the Rendezvous protocol for hole punching. Proton could use or build upon…

  4. See header info or recipent without opening

Allow option to see either header info and/or which on my addresses a scam email was sent to without needing to click on it or otherwise open it first just to see that information. Currently, only sender address is available when you hover over the bad message.

  5. See recent attachment downloads in desktop app

I love the ProtonMail desktop app (Mac here). But there's one big downside to processing my mail in an app rather than a browser, which is that my browser (Firefox) had a nice "Downloaded" button (also command-J) that let me instantly open the most recently saved attachment. Without that button, I have to open a Finder window and navigate to the file. I'd love to see you copy that browser feature in the app.

  6. Contact support with privacy preserving option such as PGP key

Add a way for customers to contact your support team in privacy-preserving ways, such as, enabling the use of PGP keys. This is important because when zendesk or (insert customer support platform name here) suffers a data breach, sensitive information is less likely to be leaked. This could be easily done by allowing users to contact the support team signing the email with their own PGP keys.

  7. Emergency lock out

It would be highly practical to have an option for a general or emergency lock out for Mail, Calendar, Pass and Drive related to the same account on all devices at the same.

  8. Upgrade email encryption for existing addresses and emails

As a long-time Proton-supporter (amongst the first users), my encryption keys for emails are rather old and somewhat not state of the art anymore (e.g. RSA 2048-bit).

The current feature to generate new keys requires me to keep the old keys for old emails intact - but I'm looking for a feature that would actually allow me to REPLACE my existing key with a more modern and secure key for ANY of my emails.

That would require all existing emails to be decrypted on the client with the existing key and encrypted with the new key/algorithm but would allow for…

  9. Connection attempt notifications (even when wrong password)

I have recently been the target of malicious persons who managed to access personal accounts (Proton non included) and I thought it would be nice if there were an option to be warned of every connection attempt to my Proton account.

  10. All in one browser extension

The browser extension could also sync bookmarks and reading lists.

This would establish a strong baseline for a future browser, maybe even an RSS/News Aggregator/Reader,

  11. Proton Download Manager

Software for downloading different file formats
File data such as torrents should also be available for download.

Allows you to download videos displayed in your browser with the click of a button.

Frankly, there are already a lot of download manager software out there, but we would like you to produce a download manager with a cool Proton design.

I translated it with a translation tool, so I apologize if there is any wrong English.....

  15. Show release notes pop up

All Proton applications are rapidly evolving. It would be awesome to provide a summary of changes when users open the app for the first time after an update.

  17. Proton Card / Tarjeta

I see that you have already proposed both a Coin and a Proton wallet, now I come and propose a Proton Digital Card, have you seen Zinli yet? Similar services already exist, yes, but there are not many and they leave something to be desired in some things, that's why you would take off with your own international card, people know how much it costs to go to Switzerland and get a bank account...

You will revolutionize by getting a free digital one like Zinli! Such a card would complement with its own online wallet preferably emulating AirTm, using both…

  18. Graphene Apps

It would be nice to have native versions of the apps on Graphine OS, as it's security focused too. I think the only way to install them there at the moment is in a sandboxed mode, but I haven't tried because there are a few things like password management I want to retain functionality of before I make the steps to de-google. Going through the process of flashing my phone to Graphene, only to find the Proton apps aren't able to function would stop me from going that direction for the moment.

  19. Enhanced email formatting features

Proton's email formatting features are too limited for Proton to be the world's leading secure email provider.

I suggest that Proton have at look at Zoho's and Gmail's formatting suites. For example, emails look much better and are more readable when the content area is narrowed and centered on the page (needs "deep" indent feature).

Line spacing and undo features are most valuable, too. These are must have basics.

  20. Download all attached files of a multiple-mails conversation in one go

In a conversation where there are attached files you have to find them and download them one by one. There should be an option to download them all in one go
