Proton Browser
Proton Browser
I would Like to see a Browser like chrome, firefox, or Brave. But without the tracking and also it being based in the same location as protonmail would mean its secure and safe to use.
With companys like google buying up all the alternative browsers I think this a needed program/app. What good is the secure email when Chrome is snap shoting and keylogging your protonmail logins.

The browser would have mail, VPN built into the system. Full protection from monitoring.

Cesear you don't have use ads just turn them off, in Brave, did you every think about that? How every It would be nice to have a better Browser that is Many thing I don't like in Brave and I can Personally improve if I had the skills. Brave Lacks many security features that Firefox already has, and some that is not imputed. Chrome aka Google Spies on your ass so bad, I am glad Brave came about but I would love to see Improvements. That is why I wished Proton would make their own.

"Ad-Free" here is a compound adjective and as such needs a hyphen. The adjectives "Proton" and "Web" both modify the noun "Browser", but "Ad" and "Free" do not. An alternative first-pass reading is "Proton Ad: Free Web Browser", where "Ad" is a free-standing noun, and this is a valid description -- but this is not what is meant.

Hi, Problem: Edge, Chrome, other web browsers have 4 ad links shown on the top of the web search results which waste users time and productivity. Turn problem into your $$$ opportunity by launching a proton web browser where premium customers have the option to toggle in setting to turn on/off the ad links (ad search results) from being displayed in the search results

Please develop a Proton Browser!!! And, if I have to give you an advice about the engine, use Chromium (stripping all the Google tracking code), because quite a few online services nowadays recommend Chrome for optimum performance: I have been using Brave for 2 years now (which is based in Chromium), but I'm giving up because Brave is making their rewards/ads campaigns intrusive and I don't like that. Brave was a great choice because it removed tracking while being compatible with all sites that are optimized for Chrome. This is why I suggest you to develop Proton Browser on top of Chromium.

On Linux use Chromium and Firefox is always a pretty secure browser. No need for another browser.

Brave works for me! It's a great privacy-based solution, and it was my first choice when switching from Chrome (and if anyone cares, I switched to Cozi for my shared family calendar solution, if anyone else is looking for an alternative to Google Calendar). The website Alternative To (alternativeto.net) is great for finding similar software alternatives.

Use Vivaldi or Brave if you want a Chromium-based browser.

Firefox Data Collection and Use
We strive to provide you with choices and collect only what we need to provide and improve Firefox for everyone. We always ask permission before receiving personal information. Privacy Notice You’re no longer allowing Mozilla to capture technical and interaction data. All past data will be deleted within 30 days.Allow Firefox to send technical and interaction data to Mozilla (activated by default) Allow Firefox to make personalized extension recommendations (activated by default). Allow Firefox to send backlogged crash reports on your behalf (not activated by default, like it is on the Playstation 4).
Hm I think since the browser never crashes I activate only the last option. -

The new firefox has a build in programm called ping sender or so, you could deactivate he traffic for it, hm they say it is for collecting some data, and you can deactivate the data collecting funktions in the settings, they are active by default I thik.
You can use older firefox versions, maybe portable, or the tor browser that do not have this program. I am using the newest version at the moment because I do not really have something to hide.

There are a lot of secure and private alternatives out there.Tor or Firefox for example.A Proton Browser would be a waste of effort and time. Also the browser being in the same location as ProtonMail would have no effect. It does not make sense.

This is massively beyond the scope and focus of this project. Please don't waste the developers time, and your votes, trying to get them to create a browser. Brave, which is one of the smaller browser companies, has around 100 employees and they are working off of already created code. Protonmail really, really should not enter that market.

This would be a massive project and the amount of resources needed make it not feasible for a small company

I’d rather just be able to have the mobile apps use the browser I configure it for, rather than the default. Then I can choose.
