Proton Browser
Proton Browser
I would Like to see a Browser like chrome, firefox, or Brave. But without the tracking and also it being based in the same location as protonmail would mean its secure and safe to use.
With companys like google buying up all the alternative browsers I think this a needed program/app. What good is the secure email when Chrome is snap shoting and keylogging your protonmail logins.

I use epic they claim they are the best, but I have found not. I have tested my browsers so I know many great ideas that could be imputed to make a better browser, if I had the Programming skills many things would be different in the Computer world, it would make the net better and more secure for all.

When Proton Browser will be able to test it.

Firefox, for sure, would be the current best option here. I don't want the Proton team to take the *immense work required* to build a whole browser, when Firefox (when set up properly) is already very, very secure, and fast.

just use tor or icecat(If tor is too slow) because they're decentralized so nobody can buy it (or threaten to arrest everyone for not disclosing info). Keep in mind your isp can see you're using protonmail, so can google fiber. And phones, operating systems, and computers made by microsoft, amazon, google, or apple also will most likely keylog your information. Be careful of third party software as they could also track (or conveniently let amazon store and steal all your info [[brave browser]]) you.

Seamonkey browser. Don't really need to reinvent the wheel. It used to have a secure addon that seems to be unavailable. Can't think of the name right now. It prevented lots of scripts from running, including those spies like google, twitter...

Just use firefox or a security focused version of it. I don't really see how proton's technologies would add anything to this.

What would be the difference between this and Firefox itself or even the Waterfox variant of Firefox? They dont track and have extensions that block any trackers. You dont need a browser with super secure servers because browsers only contact them when they are downloading updates. I dont understand the need for this at all. Firefox does the job with existing extension support. If you dont like Mozilla's presence use Waterfox. Easy as that.

I would like to see this as I do not want to use Google, Bing, Firefox, etc. as I believe there are not secure anymore these days.

Esther Use Startpage, you get google results. and it is very secure, some times I feel it is more secure than duckduckgo.

I've started using DuckDuckGo for purposes of private online searching, though I sometimes slip back to using Google Chrome because the search results somehow seem better/more powerful. I guess that's because of all the analytical information they're using.
Whilst a Proton Browser would be super cool, and as much as I'd like to see one, I'd prefer it was only done if a) it was better than other options currently out there, b) and didn't take necessary resources from the secure mail aspect, or overstretch the great team.

What a weird idea. There are plenty of trustworthy, open-source browsers. These include Firefox (which is very fast now since the update last autumn) and Brave. Firefox has lots of available add-ons that protect privacy (e.g. uBlock Origin, Cookie Autodelete and Bitwarden - all open source) and Brave has some of this functionality built in already.
It's even less clear to me what advantage it would have for a browser to be "based in the same location" as protonmail. If the code is open source, that's the most important thing. What does it even mean for a browser to be based in a particular location?
Strange stuff.
Please, Protonmail, focus on the features that will let people finally drop Gmail. Primarily, a searchable calendar, but also search of emails like Tutanota has implemented via local indexing.

I can use the left and right arrow buttons to "scroll" back and forth thru my INBOX emails to review messages, but the buttons are not available to review SENT messages or I think any other folders.

I wish this service had a vote DOWN button.
There are sufficient alternatives out in the wilds of the internet to deliver this requirement.
All this does is distract the Proton Dev people and push precious resources onto frivolous projects when they should be focusing on their core service that we have already paid for, being EMAIL ...that is still deficient in so many areas.
Grrr

I use https://proton.ac/
its call proton browser and positioned as a browser without tracking. on the core of the chromium of which they cut out all google backdoors .
I saw only two updates over the past year of proton browser... in my opinion this is a sign that the developers make changes only in the most extreme case of necessity. -
