File Integration between Mail and Drive ( Attach / save )
It would be amazing to be able to do the following:
- Attach files to Proton Mail directly from Proton Drive (as link or as file)
- Save files from emails to Proton Drive
- Mass save attachments to Proto Drive

Improve the integration between ProtonMail and Proton Drive, enabling users to send files stored in Proton Drive as email attachments.

When I add a file larger that 25mb in Proton Mail it just says 'na sorry' it should say it cant attached a file over 25mb, upload to Proton Drive and generate a link for the email.
Seemless and automatic. All the user should do is press yes and carry on typing. I keep getting drawn back to having top use GDrive due to less time it takes -

I would love to create a photo app that gives control back to the person. It would protect people's privacy through blockchain and encryption but also has plan B if privacy was breached for any reason. For example, i gave some nudes to my ex after breaking up with him he shared them to get back at me. In this idea of mine, users have the power to delete their photos from the entire digital world. It is also going to be very popular with parents who understand the dangers lurking in these unstable times with the current devices. We need to make this mainstream and mandatory. I have even named this app MYNE

It would be good if we could have a 'proton workspace' where we have an encrypted notepad 'Proton Pad'. Notes need to be protected as much as possible. I'd certainly invest in an encrypted Notepad app. Easy sell.

When a mail contains one or many attachments, there should be a button next to the download button to push it into a Drive folder. Same for all Attachments.
Bonus: Create a rule to save all attachments of matching emails to the drive folder.
Usecases:
Private Invoices, e.g. from hotels
Bookkeeping

It would be a nice integration to upload/save attachments directly from Proton Mail to Proton Drive. Currently you have to download the attachment into your computer to upload to drive at a later time.
This is not new, Gmail and iCloud provide this feature.

Of course. It would be great if the 'Attach a Document' option allowed me to choose files from my 'Drive'; even if it is from a single directory intended for this purpose.

Would like to save encrypted attachments directly to encrypted Proton Drive without downloading it to my phone first.

From within an email attachment, I would like to directly save files to Drive instead of having to download to the computer and re-upload to Drive.
As an advanced development, it would be nice to pop up a modal menu that allows moving to specific folders within Drive.

I'm surprised this isn't voted higher. Now that we have the ability to back up photos from our device, I want to be able to attach them in emails.

When receiving important documents by email, when I need to add them to my ProtonDrive, I first need to download them on the local machine and then upload them to my drive.
Sure that's not the end of the world however a deeper integration between ProtonMail & ProtonDrive would be a great improvement.
Ideally, I would like to be able to choose from the email window a destination in my ProtonDrive where the files are going to be copied.

Yes, I totally support this idea. It would be really great to be able to download files from Proton Mail directly into Proton Drive without having to download them to our personal PC first. I don't understand why this feature isn't available.
Best regards.

Add a button in Proton Mail to quickly upload mail attachments into Proton Dirve.
And/Or link Proton Drive folder with a generated email address to save attachments by forwarding messages to this email.

It should be easy to
1) save an attachment from an email directly to Proton Drive
2) attach files from Proton Drive (not by link)For 1), it might be cool to define a folder somewhere in the settings and instead of downloading attachments from mails, theyre directly stored into this folder on Proton Drive with a single click.

Es wäre super wenn Anhänge auch in Proton Drive gespeichert werden könnten.

This is a great idea!
Can we also think about asking Proton for long-term paid plans instead of the short 24 months one, to keep control over pricing. I have created a petition under this header:
LONG TERM Plans - LIFETIME Plans !!!
