Android adaptive / material / themed icons
Please make icon's theme-able. More and more 3rd party apps already support it, Proton sticks out like a sore thumb.

It would be nice to add support for Material You (for at least the adaptive colors) in the theming options on Android. Most of my apps I use daily support it, so it makes Proton seem disconnected from and outdated.

I absolutely love the new dark icon of the Proton VPN Android app and the customization options. Please roll this out to all apps!

Seems like this is done. All Android apps now have a Material You icon.

Looks like it's in the works! That's great! I reckon the update should be soon, seeing as how it's supposed to be an easy change according to Android. Funny how excited I am for my homescreen to look sleeker.

Please add an adaptive app icon. In times of Android 14 that would be appropriate.

It would be great if Proton Pass could support the Themed Icon on Android. It looks very jarring among all the other apps that already support them.

I think you are confusing something. Themed Icons are an Android-specific feature. They were introduced in Android 13: https://developer.android.com/develop/ui/views/launch/icon_design_adaptive#user-theming
It's trivial to implement, it's a 1-line change...

Can we please get an adaptive icon for Android? It's such a simple change in the code, and it would really improve the user experience for me! I could actually put the app on my home screen, instead of hiding the purple-and-white colors inside the app drawer.
Branding doesn't beat beauty. Just sayin'.

Yes, i'd like to see this also. In the web version this already works. Why not on android as well? In this way it seems more seemless.

Please add support for materialized/themed icons also known as adaptive icons so the proton apps blend in well in Android 13. Proton is one of the few companies that do not have this yet.

Please refer to the following link: https://android-developers.googleblog.com/2017/12/improving-app-security-and-performance.html?m=1
Once the app begins to target API 26, unless an adaptive icon is provided, the icon will be masked according to the shape chosen by the user.
Would be really nice if ProtonMail managed to get an adaptive icon out before that.
