Linux supported equally
Linux is very popular among privacy concerned users, who make up a large chunk of Proton's userbase. However, Proton fails to provide any solid Linux apps and frequently leaves them unmaintained or released years after the initial product launch. Proton should make Linux a first-class platform, with proper support from day one.

The less good Linux support proton offers, the more all that "privacy first" talk sounds like marketing blah-blah. I'm deeply disappointed about the lack of care proton shows the Linux community. I'm thinking of canceling my subscription to look for alternatives.

Yes please! I was quite disappointed to learn about the lack of interoperability options and free choice. The bridge for Linux is pretty cool. It allows me to use Thunderbird! But I wish it would also support calendars and contacts ...

I definitely need this to get away from M$ OneDrive and Apple iCloud. Both are untrustworthy.

With more Windows users about to jump ship due to AI and privacy concerns, along with Linux Mint and SteamOS seeing larger adoption as viable alternatives, this is a no-brainer. I subscribed to unlimited with the natural assumption that a privacy focused company would have ready support for a privacy focused OS -- I'm definitely experiencing buyer's remorse.

Being a continued paid user is definitely dependent on Linux getting more support.

Please bring the proton suite of apps support to linux, especially proton vpn(feature complete compared to windows app) and proton drive

Yes. Do this. Proton might not be FOSS but its goals and ideals should be more closely aligned to Linux users than those of iOS and Windows. Support us and we'll support you, and know that a significant number of people joined Proton because its a viable alternative to hotmail and gmail (I've never owned an Apple product so don't know if they have an email client).

Especially drive is of importance to me. Pass and VPN are partially implemented, but it's not perfect.

Agreed. I am making the switch from Windows to Linux and Proton doesn't have an official Drive or Mail app available. This is very disappointing. Please add Linux desktop apps!

Unfortunately, features on Linux platform are coming very late, if they come.

Lack of first-class Linux support is disappointing, to say the least.

I wonder if Proton Drive can be integrated into the desktop environtments like GNOME and KDE Plasma. Services like NextCloud and Google Drive already support this.
Proton VPN needs official Flatpak support. They should verify the community Flatpak at the very least.
If the rest of the suite won't have dedicated apps, it's better to install the WebApps using a Chromium-based browser than having an Electron-based app running on Flatpak and X11, which is a mess from a security stand-point according to cybersecurity experts.

A bit shocking that a supposedly "privacy first" company ignores the needs of the only OS where privacy is even possible. What is the point of E2EE encryption when Microsoft/Apple already have the ability to read through all of your files?
Ignoring Monero is already iffy for anyone wanting Privacy, ignoring Linux is horrible

Please add Linux support for Proton Drive.
As a temporary work-around, rclone v1.68.1 will let me copy and sync files with Proton Drive.
