Proton Lifetime Plan for 99 years
One-time payment for future certainty. Hopefully reconcilable with the subscription-based business model.

From a business standpoint, lifetime subs only make sense at very early stages (or for rag pull scams). Maintaining services running costs a lot of money. Yearly and bi-yearly subs are already great options.

I think a Lifetime plan is a good idea, but can be financially dangerous for many companies. That said, if the pricing is done correctly, and features are very carefully chosen, this would be something I'd instantly purchase.

It could be something like one time payment for retention of basic features like
10GB email storage independent of drive
10GB drive storage
Proton Pass 2fa
retain custom domain(s) if setThis would allow retention of basic functions in case of an inability to pay/unwillingness to pay while keeping the functions that people rely on accessible without being forced to move to a less private platform
