Very much needed!

A dedicated Tasks feature would fit really naturally into the Proton ecosystem. I especially like the idea of attaching emails to tasks, since it would keep the whole context in one place instead of relying on separate apps. Optional calendar dates would also make the feature flexible rather than cluttered. It would be a really useful addition for anyone trying to keep everyday work organized. This is an easy "win" for Proton in my opinion. I think that a Task feature would make ProtonMail even more attractive to potential customers (and entice paying customers to keep renewing their subscription).

Regarding new features, I recently received a message in my Proton account stating that Proton has added a feature that separates emails into categories (similar to Gmail). Well, I do not want that feature and quite honestly I disabled it in my old Gmail accounts.

The addition of a Task feature would make ProtonMail a perfect productivity tool for me at this point.

I think Proton Tasks would be a really useful addition to the Proton ecosystem. A simple task manager integrated with Proton Calendar would make planning much easier, especially for people trying to move away from Google or Microsoft services.

Useful features would include due dates, recurring tasks, priorities, reminders, custom lists, and calendar integration. A mobile widget would also be a nice addition.

I’d rather see Proton launch a simple and reliable version first and improve it over time than wait for an overly complicated task manager. Hopefully Proton considers the community feedback and provides more updates soon.

I agree, Proton Calendar is lacking a task planner. I previously used Samsung Calendar and Reminders which integrated well. I could colour code different tasks and set due dates. I enjoyed seeing the tasks listed in a separate widget to my calendar widget whilst also being able to see them alongside calendar events.

This is "another app", but fact is, this is part of a professional suite integrating with mail and calendar. This not just another app, this is completing the current lacking ecosystem of calendar.

Integrating or collaborating with Tasks.org (GNU GPLv3 open-source to-do lists and reminders) within the Proton ecosystem strikes me as a brilliant addition. An AI could presumably create something similar with ease, but it would lack an existing community and the human element.

This is definitely something critical for me that I've been waiting for from Proton. I'd especially like to see a "Proton Tasks" service that is modeled after "Super Productivity".

My go-to software, Todoist, is currently adding more and more AI features, so I would love to swap to a Proton Tasks kind of competitor which is more streamlined and privacy-focused.

Made an account just to agree. Currently still using Google Tasks, for its ease to use Mobile Widget, reminders and more. Would love to have that as a Proton App & connected to the Calendar.

Came here specifically to request just this - A trello/monday.com task manager would be amazing. I have my personal, but also my business domain via proton and to have this all in one place would probably be the push to get me on the ultimate package indefinitely. Either as part of calendar or ideally, as a standalone feature.

A task tab would be very usefull for me.

I could really benefit from this, but it would need to be a well thought out productivity app like competitors, not just a side panel that technically "works". I can create a basic to-do list on paper if I want. I need a real app with labels, projects, a kanban view, priorities, an inbox for tasks, etc.

An app like google tasks focused on privacy. It has a Kanban‑style layout or list view. The tasks can be moved to the calendar to schedule. You can access offline on your phone and desktop apps.

Dear Proton team,

I currently use all Proton services except Proton Calendar. The main reason is usability. I miss a clear, week-based overview comparable to a traditional paper planner, where a full week is visible across a left and right page. This makes planning more intuitive and spatial.

In addition, I would value a tighter integration between calendar and tasks. The ability to see appointments and actionable tasks in one structured weekly view would significantly improve workflow and planning clarity.

If Proton Calendar introduced a weekly two-page overview and integrated task management at this level, I would be ready to fully transition to Proton Calendar as well.
