This is an easy "win" for Proton in my opinion. I think that a Task feature would make ProtonMail even more attractive to potential customers (and entice paying customers to keep renewing their subscription).
Regarding new features, I recently received a message in my Proton account stating that Proton has added a feature that separates emails into categories (similar to Gmail). Well, I do not want that feature and quite honestly I disabled it in my old Gmail accounts.
The addition of a Task feature would make ProtonMail a perfect productivity tool for me at this point.
