Fire Andy Yen and treat your employees with respect
My yearly subscription was renewed last month And I wish I could get a prorated refund based on loss of confidence in the service/service provider because of your CEOs behaviour, employee treatment, and utter insanity regarding security measures and AI as reported in 404. I'll never give you another cent if Andy and any others like him are not fired and the company put right to what it sold itself as.
Shame on you. This isn't what the company presented itself as and what I signed up for, which is a privacy and SECURITY focused platform. And employees should NEVER be treated like that.
If you think people won't abandon and migrate to another platform as fast as they did from Google to you you're delusional.
Thank you to the hardworking employees who are trying to do the right thing and good jobs and bring this to light

A key reason I subscribed to Proton, for years, even though they didn't show respect for Linux was that I thought they were doing things in the right direction, open source, non-profit, privacy/security-oriented, framing themselves as a visionary and trustworthy alternative to abusers like Google or Microsoft. The CEO and CTO are proving that false. I've followed some of the questionable moments of the CEO in the past and was able to give the benefit of the doubt but that is over. This toxicity and behaviour is a clear pattern and not one that portrays a person with good strategic insight. There may be any number of questionable elements to AI but it also might ok when managed in the hands of people with the skills and wisdom to use it critically. Those are qualities that Yen appears to lack. Proton needs to pull back from toxicity before it's too late. Maybe it already is.
