Privacy focused git repository for open source Proton development
Replace Proton GitHub repositories with a more privacy focused alternative, like Codeberg or a Proton hosted Gitlab.
GitHub is less and less user and privacy-friendly, as they do not tolerate aliased addresses, like those from Proton/SimpleLogin (!).
Also, things like AI training clearly make a respecting git repository for the development of Proton apps even more attractive.2 votes -
Dedicated support ticket page
It would be great if we as users could login to the Zendesk page to have an overview of all our tickets. Many companies (e.g. Corsair, Withings) have implemented this already. That would make it easier to view the recent activity of a current ticket and reply to it instead of only through notifications per mail.
Also, when submitting a ticket via the ticket form (https://proton.me/support/contact) the written message and details are not contained in the notification email you get after you have sent it.

Search emails using Contact Group as filter option
It would be very useful if I can search emails by Contact Group. If I have a Contact Group for a specific organization and I want to see all emails I had with that organization.
Example:
- I have like 7 people in group A, we communicate only given part of the year. When I want to look up some information I don't necessarily remember who sent it, I just know it was one of them. Ideally I would use the search with contact group + From-To time.

Best Plan(s) for many isn't an option.
Current prices make Pass Plus (1.99) & Mail Plus (3.99) the best option for many if it were available to bundle a la carte.
I, like many don't need all the storage, VPN's, and Domains of unlimited. Mail plus is fine and 1.99 to unlock 2FA, vaults, & unlimited aliases is well worth bundling these two together.
Pricing and features is the same as mail plus & simplelogin premium.2 votes -
Change theme on ALL apps & platforms
It's drive me nuts that the VPN only seems to be a dark theme (it's ******* my eyes)....the ability to change the them from light/dark/auto should be standardized across ALL apps and ALL platforms. Personally, I need to the high contrast of the light theme...dark to tough for me to use....others may want the auto or dark, please give us this choice.

APK filenames should include version number
Viewing the version number of APK files on Proton's web site would be very helpful to ensure the downloaded file is a later version than the one already in use. I recently downloaded...
ProtonMail-Android.apk
... but would have preferred to see the version number as part of the filename. For example...
ProtonMail-3-0-17-Android.apk

Make Archive a top-level action after reading a message
My normal action after reading an email is to archive it. Yet the archive action is generally hidden under a menu rather than being at the top level after reading a message.
On web, Archive is contained within a meatball menu at the top of the message. So after reading, it takes 3 actions to archive it: 1) scroll to the top, 2) open the meatball menu, 3) archive it.
On mobile Android beta, archive is not available on the bottom bar (the actions are mark as read, move, trash, and label). Archive should be one of these options -…

Inactivity options, sign-out/lock
The new desktop client does not have "Keep me signed in" as an option because that is its default and it can't be altered.
This is not documented for the new desktop client which can lead to people wasting time trying to sort out what is happening.
What does this do:

Proton Metrics
A service to store metrics such as IoT, health, etc.
Health to replace Apple Health and offer interoperability with other applications such as meal trackers for calories, sports, sleep, etc.
IoT to extend, for example, the storage that we can do on Home Assistant, and bring together all our important metrics in one place in a secure and interoperable way.

Creating a uservoice account should not automatically connect with Gravatar
As a Proton user, I expect my interactions with all Proton related systems to have privacy by default. Currently, when creating a uservoice account to access the Proton feature suggestion platform, my Gravatar information is connected to uservoice by default and displayed publicly.
Connecting uservoice to Gravatar should be done with full informed consent, not automatically.

Make the width of the code block in the new docs ideal for display on screens in portrait mode. ie make the width wider.
The new docs is awesome. I would like improvement on the code block as wider for portrait screens. I started with a document of 9 FOIA requests and I chose to separate each FOIA in a code block. Unfortunately the block gets too tight on portrait displays.

Accessibility options under appearance settings
Under the accessibility section of the appearance tab in settings, we have options for font family and size, but no option for letter/word spacing. It could be really helpful to those who suffer from nystagmus/blurred vision or dyslexia to be able to increase letter/word spacing to promote legibility.
Example:
0.05ch letter spacing (0.15ch word spacing)
0.08ch letter spacing (0.24ch word spacing)
0.10ch letter spacing (0.30ch word spacing)Obviously they couldn't go too much higher without causing potential text-wrapping issues in the UI, but an option other than the default would be welcome.

Proton On-Site Forums to Replace the Uservoice.Com Mess + Soc. Media
Not everyone uses social media. And uservoice.com is an ugly, over-complicated, clinical mess. It would be infinitely better to have a proper set of moderated forums on-site at Proton, inc. help forums where users and support staff could chip in. Social media could act as an adjunct to this, but the real focus should be in forums. Even the biggest Linux distros e.g. have their own forums, and Proton is still much smaller than they are. Add an "ignore" action to counter email storms
Outlook has an excellent "Ignore" feature which deletes an email along with all subsequent replies to that email. This is very useful for dealing with reply-all email storms. It would be very nice if ProtonMail implemented this feature as well.
