  1. Proton Pass: Bad credentials autofill

Proton Pass often fails to present relevant login entry results when selecting credentials to populate individual login form fields.

Specifically, Proton Pass search results fails to include entries that were accessed moments ago.

For example, the current browser page should automatically trigger corresponding login entries for that domain. But they often don't. So you have to manually search for the right login entry. This happens with mobile browsers.

For example, you can select a login item for the username field. But then the login entry fails to appear in the recent list when populating the password field.

  2. More granular access controls for Family/Organization plans

I would love to see more fine-grained access controls in the Family and Organization management dashboard.

Right now, the admin can only enable or disable certain features for the whole group, but it would be extremely helpful to assign specific permissions or benefits to individual members. For example, instead of just restricting the entire Family/Organization account from using a certain feature, the admin could decide who has access to which subscription benefits (e.g., VPN, Drive storage, Mail features, etc.).

This would make the Family/Organization plans much more flexible and customizable, and it would ensure that every member gets the right…

  3. Remote desktop

A new app similar to AnyDesk, TeamViewer, or the basic protocols on Mac and Windows, integrated into the proton infrastructure.

  5. To-do list

Create a to-do list app similar to todoist. With reminders and linked to our Proton agenda. That'd be really a killer app. You want to protect privacy. Can you imagine the private data companies get out of personal todolists? They know so many things we do!

  6. Mail: Multiple Select All Glitches

The bulk select all checkbox in Proton Mail seems to apply only to the current page. So hundreds of emails on pages 2 and beyond are failing to apply the requested action (e.g. mark as read).

In fact, the the Mark as Read / Mark as Unread toggle doesn't even present a consistent action from page to page of the results. You have to remember not to accidentally mark some results as unread, as you traverse each individual page.

  7. Reduce # of clicks to move a message

Hi there! When I highlight a message and click the "Move" option, a list of folders is presented, requiring a second click on the chosen folder and a third click on the Move button.

It would be faster to double-click the appropriate folder in order to move the message. Alternatively, as you type in the filter box, when the correct folder name is displayed, allow the user to hit the Enter key to move the item to the displayed folder.

It takes a cursor move + 2 extra clicks to move an item to the desired folder. Having used Gmail…

  8. CLI Apps for integrations / automations

One big drawback of using proton instead of a big tech alternative (or nextcloud) is the lack of integration with third party services for automation or productivity.

I get that being E2E, it is complicated to make such integration through webhooks. But having CLI apps as a bridge could help (just like the App for proton mail bridge, but for all the proton services (at least mail, drive, docs, calendar).

It should be easier to integrate proton into any workflow with automation platform like n8n etc...

  9. Virtualization like QubesOS DVMs--to protect the masses from the impending AI Spear-Phishing Swarms (Heiding et al., 2025).

Recent research shows with a little development, modern LLMs can be used to fully automate spear-phishing campaigns-- from reconnaissance to email and evaluation.

These atracks work as well as human hacking experts with 54% success.

This also makes it way more profitable.

Average non-QubesOS users need virtualization like disposable VMs in QubesOS.

  10. Add option to disable blinking eyes of Lumo cat

Lumo is great new thing, but I find the constant blinking of the cat's eyes on the mobilemapp to be distracting. It would be great if there was an option to turn off all moving images and other distracting items. This would make the application better accessible for most. Thank you for considering this feedback!

  11. Add filtering and sorting options to protonapps.com

As the number of Proton services and platforms increases, protonapps.com becomes more difficult to navigate. It’d be useful to have some filtering and sorting options for protonapps.com to quickly find the right app for the desired platform. For example:

Platform Filter: Android (APK, F-Droid, Play Store, etc), iOS/iPadOS, Linux, macOS, Onion/Tor, Web, Windows

App Filter: Authenticator, Calendar, Docs, Drive, Lumo, Mail, Meet, Pass, VPN, Wallet, etc

    Version Filter: Production, Beta

Sort By: App Name, Platform, Recently Updated

  12. Add Support for Storing and Using Digital Certificates in Proton Pass

Currently, Proton Pass allows storing credentials, notes, and files, but does not provide a way to store and use digital certificates for authentication or signing.

I propose adding a feature that enables users to securely store their digital certificates in Proton Pass and use them directly without installing them on the operating system or browser.

This would be extremely useful when working on shared or untrusted devices, where installing certificates locally is not safe or practical. It would also improve security and portability for users who rely on certificates for identity verification or encrypted communications.

  13. Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for Drive, Pass, and wherever applicable

RBAC would be useful for personal accounts (i.e. families) but particularly for businesses in which role assignments are standard management and security practice. I'm not sure what the most user-friendly way is to handle the CRUDing of roles or similar operations, however, I think it should be possible to smoothly integrate this in the current experience.

  14. Crowdsource funding for Proton Spreadsheet. I (and others) would give $100 right now.

A spreadsheet is the only thing keep google customers from infusing cash to Proton. This is a business error. Instead of only votes, create crowdfunded initiatives. I would give $100 immediately (I'm poor) to fund this initiative. Voting is nice, crowdsourced money to do a job that you know takes x amount of hours. No brainer.

  15. Android Proton Apps in single, verifiable, supported Repository

Currently Proton makes all of its APKs available via protonapps.com; however it does not make the primary pages for the APKs easy to access or obvious. Additionally, Proton has been previously committed to following a more open-source modelling, publishing to Github. However consistency across Proton Apps is quite poor, and trying to access APKs via this method easily (in essence, as per an RSS feed) is not ideal.

I note that Proton partially supports alternative with VPN and Pass both on F-Droid. Whilst the GrapheneOS community often has issues with this, it is ultimately up to the user.

    I would…

  17. Protocol specific to Proton

Why doesn't Proton develop its own protocol instead of relying on another protocol to counter the blocking of its applications in some countries?

    Please create your own protocol.

  18. Sign in with Proton/SSO

Email aliases are just hard to use in that you need to open Proton Pass (not Proton Mail!?) app to create one, then go back to the website that timed out, log in and then remember to save your password.

Sign in with Proton could have an easier way to sign in with passkeys and just be more convenient with the option to share only an alias

  19. Send Email As Group

Send Email As Group:The ability for authorized members of a Proton Mail Group to send emails as the group. Currently Proton Mail Groups support the receiving of emails through the group email alias but not the sending of mails as the group alias. This feature exists, by contrast, in the analogous Google Workspace group feature.

  20. Landscape mode for Proton Calendar

Please add landscape mode for Proton Calendar. For tablet users, this is vital. For a calendar, landscape mode makes it much easier to see all events. In horizontal mode, many events are being squeezed on screen and not shown. It is very annoying having to constantly change the direction of one's tablet, when multitasking between the calendar and other apps.

Other Proton apps already have horizontal mode and it works great.
