  1. Labels

Hello, Pass is really great and would be even better if items within the vault could be tagged with user defined labels, analogous to the way it is done in Mail.

  3. Suggest time to change passwords through Pass Monitor (i.e., after 90 days, three months, etc.).

I used to subscribe to Norton. One of the features it had was monitoring when passwords were old and suggesting changes. Options given were remind after 90 days, remind after six months, or do not remind. This would not be a mandatory change, only a suggestion to keep password/account secure.

  5. Add another grade level of "Good/Average" in between "Weak" and "Strong" for password strength

As a security-minded IT professional, I'm finding myself confused that very similar passwords are considered "Weak" or "Strong". If I generate a 14-character random password with lowercase, uppercase, numbers and symbols, Proton marks about half of them "Weak" and half "Strong". Similarly, all randomly generated 16-character lowercase passwords are marked "Vulnerable", while increasing that to 17 chars results in all being marked "Strong". There seems to be some strange inconsistencies with the grading algorithm (see another user's request titled "Improve the Accuracy for the Weak Password Detection").

Regardless of user knowledge and experience level, and accepting for now the separate…

  6. Export Proton Authenticator TOTP to Proton Pass TOTP

You can currently export TOTP from Proton Pass to Proton Authenticator. It would be nice to export TOTP from Proton Authenticator to Proton Pass.

  8. Authenticator: Click to show code. Hide all by default.

Currently, android Proton Authencator can work in one of two modes:
    1. Hide all codes and never display the code in the UI (even when clicked).
    2. Show all codes at all times.

    But this is not enough.

If you hide all your codes, you can only copy the code to the clipboard and use it on your phone/device. If you show all codes, you expose yourself to over-the-shoulder snooping.

A very common use case is that someone wants to keep all codes hidden by default but reveal a particular code when it's time to use it, when the user…

  9. Proton Pass make attachments available offline

As Proton Pass becomes an items/everything manager, it would be valuable option to make attachments available offline. Examples include attachments for passport photos, drivers license, medical cards, etc.

  10. Allow the user to specify the login form fields used for auto-fill

Allow the user to choose which field on a login form is associated with the username, password, OTP, etc. Sometimes fields are not detected successfully, so auto-fill doesn't work. Other password managers allow the user to choose the ID of the fields in the page's HTML so they're always filled correctly.

  11. Publish Proton Pass to Flathub

Publishing as a flatpak on Flathub is great for Linux users, as they won't have to worry about app updates anymore.

  12. Autofill for Linux Desktop App

I'm just a normie who doesn't pay a ton of attention so I hope this already doesn't exist, but basically the title makes it pretty self explanatory. I like the autofill feature in the browser but as a security guy I am not a huge fan of browser extensions as password managers, so I think it makes sense to port the autofill feature to the desktop app similar to something like keepass or 1pass for example. That's about it, love yall.

  13. Authenticator browser extension

Currently, I use 2FAS as 2FA solution. It works great and I recommend it :)

The reason I currently won't switch is because of their browser extension. I don't want the 2FA available on any other device than my phone - otherwise it won't make sense to have the 2FA in the first place. Instead, please create a browser extension similar to the one 2FA has that allows me to link the extension to the phone's app and allow to enter the 2FA on the website only when I allow it in the app.

As alternative to how it's done…

  16. Improve login autofill recognition in the Brave browser on android and in the Brave browser addon for Brave on Linux and windows.

I experience a lack of autofill detection on every second to third site that i enter, which was almost never an issue with googles password manager. My experience is persistantly bad in the Brave browser on android, Linux and Windows. Often Proton Pass will ask if I want to save the login information that I just copied from Proton Pass, making it seem like an unnecessary bug that autofill didn't recognize the login fields in the first place.

It seems that keyboard user choose affects this on Android. A list of supported open source and privacy optimized keyboards, preferably with…

  17. Customize the default email template for 'Login' creation (<...>@proton.me)

It would be very nice to customize the default email from the 'Login' creation page on mobile.
When we don't want to use the '@proton.me' email nor 'Hide my email'.

So, create the ability to custom the default 'Use <...>@proton.me' in something like '<...>@gmail.com' so we autocomplete faster.

  18. Vault Resizing

Ability to adjust column widths on the new desktop app (I'm on Windows). Currently, for vaults with longer names, the only way to see the full name is to go into the "edit vault" page.

Alternative (or addition) might be something where the viewable space expands on hover to display the whole name.

  20. Passkey on Safari Extension for MacOS

It was great that Proton did create an extension for Safari to use on MacOS. The downside is it does not support passkeys. As more people use passkeys and more businesses requiring passkeys it is currently a no go to use proton pass on Safari.
