Improve Website Association Handling in Proton Pass
Currently, when logging into a website using the Proton Pass browser extension, if the URL of the website does not exactly match any of the existing "website" entries in a saved login, the extension prompts the user to save it as a new login. However, this creates a duplicate entry with the same username/email and password but a different website URL. Since Proton Pass doesn’t currently support merging login entries, this leads to unnecessary clutter and confusion.
Suggestion:
Please consider adding a feature such as an "Add website to existing login" button in the save prompt. This would allow users…29 votes -
Make text from ProtonPass web browser extension private
Clipboard managers have internal functions that tells them not to remember stuff copied from certain sources, which is the behaviour we'd want from whatever comes out of password managers.
Unfortunately, the copied text coming out of the ProtonPass web browser extension (at least on Firefox) is plain text and my clipboard manager remembers it forever in its memory, which is not ideal for security. (I'm using Pasteboard Viewer to check the type of text that is stored in the clipboard.)
Apparently, there is a way to tag text as sensitive from browser extensions: this was reported in an issue on…

Samsung-specific integration
On Samsung devices, Proton Pass should offer deeper integration with Samsung Pass and Samsung Knox. Many Samsung users are accustomed to using biometric authentication via the integrated fingerprint sensor or iris recognition. Proton Pass should be seamlessly integrated here and also offer Samsung DeX support so that the password manager works just as smoothly in desktop mode. Intelligent recognition of Samsung's own apps and services would significantly improve the user experience, as many Samsung apps use special login mechanisms.

Next-generation passkey management
Proton Pass already supports passkeys, but the implementation could be significantly more refined. A visual overview of all saved passkeys, including information about which devices can use them and when they were last used, is completely missing. Proton should also offer a passkey migration service to assist with switching between devices and automatically detect which services support passkeys but haven't yet enabled them.

Ignore Microsoft Authenticator "passwords" (Android)
I cannot avoid using Microsoft Authenticator for work.
But whenever I use it to enter a one-time code, Proton Pass pops up and offers to save the "password".
This is where the online service will pop up a two-digit number, and then the authenticator asks you to type the same number. And then unlock with biometrics. And then let you into thAe online service.
It would be slightly less annoying if Proton Pass could just ignore it.

Disable hard to distinguish characters from passwords
Currently one has the option to enable/disable the following in the password generator:
- special characters

Passkey Icon
Please add a label or icon next to items that use a passkey, just like the one shown for 2FA.

DropBox Passwords needs an import
DropBox is removing their otherwise simple and awesome password feature. I suspect the simplicity I love is the reason they have decided to let other solutions provide that particular feature.
On Oct 8, 2025, all passwords will be gone. As we approach, more and more people are going to look for an easy way to transfer their stuff. It would be good marketing to announce that you are here to help.
The CSV import feature failed - it wondered about field names. Looking online, I didn't find any description of what the CSV import could do or what features it…

View password in extra large type
One of the things that I liked about 1Password (on both desktop and mobile) was the option to view a password in extra large type. So if I need to manually type it in (rather than copy / pasting, which isn't always an option), I can more easily see the characters.
Bonus for making different character types (capital letters, lower case letters, numbers, symbols) different colors, so the difference between lower-case-L and upper-case-I and the number 1 are obvious!

Improve the Accuracy for the Weak Password Detection.
According to Proton Pass, this password is weak: !C2&e3D%BNaeyP
According to Hive Systems, Security.org, Kaspersky, Nord Pass, and Bit Warden, it is considered very secure.
If you generate a password within Proton Pass using symbols, letters, etc. with 14 characters, it considers that password secure, meaning that Proton Pass has a bias for its own generated passwords.
Side Note: The password used in this example was generated by Nord Pass.133 votes -
Allow the user to specify the login form fields used for auto-fill
Allow the user to choose which field on a login form is associated with the username, password, OTP, etc. Sometimes fields are not detected successfully, so auto-fill doesn't work. Other password managers allow the user to choose the ID of the fields in the page's HTML so they're always filled correctly.

Second Login
It would be great if Proton Pass allowed users to store not only a PIN or password as a second password, but also a security key such as Yubikey.

to obscure the “Note” field
I would like to suggest a feature for Proton Pass.
The suggestion is to add the option to obscure the “Note” field with a button similar to the “Hide/Show” button in the ‘Password’ field, in addition to the option to start with the “Note” field obscured.
Thank you.

linked passwords
Ability to link the password from an entry to different entries that, maybe, differ for the username structure.
I'm referring to different services (firewall, exchange server, web application) that use, for example, ldap (same user and same password) but with different username format (username, domain\username, username@domain.tld).
Changing the user password would result in a single entry change (the base entry) in Proton Pass.
All the other entries would inheritate the new password.10 votes -
After deleting a Proton Auth, save credentials for up to 48h before permanent deletion.
The other app (Authy) has a feature that when you delete an authy it stores it for up to 48h. This ensures that if you delete something it doesnt cause a permanent mess. Proton Authentificator should add the same feature, saving credentials 48h after deletion.

Contacts
I would like to see the ability to store and save Contact information. Having all of my contacts saved in a service like Google Contacts is useful, but overwhelming and unnecessary at times. With Proton Pass, I could create contacts that I don't need to pop up everytime I send an email or am looking for someone specific. For instance, It would work great with Vaults, being able to organize and share with others, as well as being able to have an archive of contacts that I no longer use or regularly need. Not to mention that it would be…

Unlocking the Proton Pass extension with a password (not just a PIN or biometric authentication) for added security.
Unlocking the Proton Pass extension with a password (not just a PIN or biometric data) for added security. It's fine that some people want to unlock it with a PIN or biometric data, but I prefer the security option.

Autofill from extension after search
I've saved more than 200 login items for single website. All are for different companies and all are legit. So when I'm using proton pass it shows me drop-down with 200 login items for that site - there's no search field.. So I would love to use keyboard shortcut to open extension and then use search field and press on wanted item to autofill. And the moment all I can do is scroll in that drop-down and look for one correct item or use search in extension and then manually copy and paste credentials, which is nonsense.

Vault security
Why can't I set a pin on certain vaults as an extra layer of security? I keep all my financial apps in Samsung's secure folder behind a 10 digit pin. I was hoping to only have one instance of Proton Pass on the phone and keep it in the secure folder too, but it won't autofill outside the secure folder. I've dumped all my thousands of passwords from Google into PP and am slowly working my way through deleting them and ensuring the rest are correct. However, because PP syncs across all instances all my vaults show up outside the…
