UI - Compact/Slim UI Mode for Browser Extension [Pass]
The current Proton Pass extension feels overly wide and "clunky" compared to the high-density, vertical design of Bitwarden, which prioritises utility over whitespace. By comparing the two, it's clear that Proton's use of large cards, heavy padding, and a wide two-pane layout reduces information density, forcing more scrolling and taking up too much screen real estate. I am requesting a "Compact Mode" toggle that slims down the extension width, reduces vertical padding in the "Autofill suggestions" list, and provides a more streamlined, list-based view for power users who prefer efficiency and a smaller visual footprint.

After deleting a Proton Auth, save credentials for up to 48h before permanent deletion.
The other app (Authy) has a feature that when you delete an authy it stores it for up to 48h. This ensures that if you delete something it doesnt cause a permanent mess. Proton Authentificator should add the same feature, saving credentials 48h after deletion.

Add Minimalist Password Manager to the Import Option
Minimalist Password Manager is an encrypted wallet available through the Apple App store (see https://minimalistpassword.com/). It is being removed from the App store in August 2026. It's .csv export function does not result in an accurate import into Proton Pass. It does allow for an export to Apple Passwords, which I could then import into Proton Pass, but I would prefer to import directly into Proton Pass.

Initial "Personalize" pop-up supression
Every time I log into ProtonPass on a browser, I get the "Personalize: Make it your own" pop-up, that requires three clicks to go through. I am fine with the default settings, but I even tried making adjustments to the settings and the pop-up still shows up each time.
Please add a way for users who are not interested in changing their settings to not have to get the pop-up every single time! Having to click through this pop-up every time is annoying!

Proton Pass integration with External Secrets Operator
Proton Pass is a great candidate, similar to 1Pass, for a supported provider inside the Kubernetes External Secret Operator. This could be done via calls out to the cli directly if necessary, but direct API calls would likely be more scalable if capable.

Pass Monitor - Inactive 2FA
Let me turn off monitoring for inactive 2FA without turning off any of the other monitoring features. Most of my 2FAs are in Proton Authenticator, which doesn't even have a correlator to tie it to the Proton Pass entries. Also I have quite a few where for various reasons I cannot use the 2FA on the related site. For all of these, I still want the remaining monitor features enabled.

Built in keyboard for PIN (and master password) on touchscreen devices
Very easy to implement in the app while it entirely avoids the critical risks that users are exposed to when they are unaware that they're using vulnerable 3rd party keyboards.

Device-bound passkeys with attestation - Please add support
My employer is shifting to device-bound passkeys with the isBackupEligible flag set FALSE. ProtonPass does not support these Passkeys.
I am not the biggest fan of Yubikeys (as I misplace and break them), and the only app which supports device-bound passkeys, at this time, seems to be MS Authenticator. 🤮
Please would you add device-bound key support.
I only have a surface level understanding of this, but MS has a write up of their Passkey features here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/blog/microsoft-entra-blog/the-latest-enhancements-in-microsoft-authenticator/40788075 votes -

Emergency access - allow non-proton accounts
My emergency contact doesn't have a proton account nor do I think we should force them to have one. This feature is therefore useless to me.
In an emergency, the last thing I want my contact doing is having to remember how to log in to a service they never use. This should be a genuinely useful feature, and I hope not a feature to leverage obtaining new users.

Add the vault export functionality to Proton Pass CLI
Having the ability to automate backups of your vault via the CLI would be great.

REQUIRE hardware key for login
I’d really like it easy to set it so that my account cannot be logged into, not one single proton app used AT ALL, unless I have authenticated THAT session with a hardware key. As Proton enters ecosystem mode, it becomes even more tempting as a target for hackers.

Enable Full-Screen Email Display in Landscape Mode (mobile app)
When viewing an item in Proton Pass, rotating the phone to landscape mode should allow the account’s email address (or alias) to expand to full screen. This would make it much easier to show the email physically in stores or services that need to read it from the device.
Right now the email remains truncated or limited by the standard layout, which makes it inconvenient to display clearly. A dedicated full-width view in landscape would solve this and improve usability in real-world situations.2 votes -

Install pass-cli using a package manager
I tried adding a comment to this existing thread ("Single Linux yum repo for all Proton apps
") here, but couldn't: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/945460-general-ideas/suggestions/50536500-single-linux-yum-repo-for-all-proton-appsInstalling pass-cli via a downloaded bash script is not optimal, and feels very insecure. Instead, people on Linux distributions should be able to use their platform's package manager to install it.
For example, it would be great to have a single yum repository for all Fedora-based proton products, so that I could just do "sudo dnf install pass-cli" (to install pass-cli specifically), or "sudo dnf update" to update everything easily. Instead, only proton-vpn has a yum repo, and…

Have a clear & accessible button OR keyboard shortcut to lock Proton Pass (desktop and browser extension)
It can be helpful to have a clearly-identifiable lock button for both the browser extensions and desktop apps. I use Firefox on my MacBook and I work at environments where I have to physically move away from my laptop ever so often, and have to move around a quite a lot. It'd be less fatiguing and (importantly) more secure if I could quickly lock my the desktop app and/or extension before moving away from my laptop. Just a little QoL feature that would be fantastic :-)

GPU Acceleration Issues
Please consider adding an option under Settings to enable/disable GPU acceleration for each app. Some systems struggle with displaying content and can appear to flash violently when rendering. Disabling GPU and forcing CPU to render could eliminate this issue in most cases.
Thank you!3 votes
