Disable tray icon on Linux clients
Critically helpful if the tray icon could be disabled or hidden, so that when we close Proton Pass, the process terminates properly. This is especially important for the Linux client, where we often work with limited resources and need efficient process management. Currently, tray icon on Debian creates all sorts of issues like duplicate processes and tray icon staying active despite using Exit menu item.

New category: Privacy Policies & TOS & Opt outs
Problem: Keeping track of accepted privacy policies, TOS, and submitted opt-outs across hundreds or thousands of websites is a losing battle.
Request:
- I would like to have a way to capture the privacy policies and TOS any time we have to agree to them (signup and updates) and have that history available to refer back to.
- I would also like to be able to record that I completed a Data Request as well as Opt-out.3 votes -

UI language selection (Android)
Proton Mail Android client has option to change UI language to another. Same is needed for Proton Pass. My phone is in my native language but I prefer to use technical apps in English as most UI terms are more familiar to me in English.

NO marketing popups in the Proton Pass extension
While hitting backspace to clear the search field in the Proton Pass extension, a marketing popup for Proton Duo came up and DESELECTED the search field. Pressing backspace then navigated me back through several webpages, losing my form inputs. Let me be 100% crystal clear: The Proton Pass extension is a critical tool for performing time-sensitive security tasks. It is in no way acceptable to have marketing popups (on a service I already pay a significant amount of money for) interfering with these critical tasks. If you have a marketing offer, send it by email as you already do on…

Folders instead of vaults
The existing "Vaults" Feature is not good in my opinion. Its little bit confusing, so if this feature should be handled as a folder, why not name it "Folder", and pls let us create unlimited folders, not only 50. I think about to switch to Proton but this holding me back, i have NordPass where i can create unlimited Folders for better organisation... considder this update pls.

Two Passwords to Avoid the Hammer Attack Scenario
I would like to see the option in Proton Pass to use "either" of two passwords.
If you use password #1 Proton Pass would work as it usually does.
If you use Password #2, Proton Pass would only display certain records that have been tagged by the user.
The purpose of this would be to help prevent a successful "Wrench Attack".
If threatened physically to log into your account, you could use password #2 and minimize the loss of your data.
This would be similar to methods used on some crypto wallets. Here's an article on Wrench Attacks for reference.

Proton Pass needs to be able to distunguish between host names on the same domain
Other password managers can distinguish between multiple host names on the same domain. Proton Pass cannot. This is a glaring issue and the one reason I am unable to switch completely. I requested this feature a year ago or so and was told it's coming, but here we are an it's not here. Please add this feature!

Pass filter search improvement
Proton Pass filter search improvement.
An optimized filter search in Pass will make the service more user-friendly. For example, you can search for items with attached files, or search for items that contain certain filled-in fields.

Passkey on Safari Extension for MacOS
It was great that Proton did create an extension for Safari to use on MacOS. The downside is it does not support passkeys. As more people use passkeys and more businesses requiring passkeys it is currently a no go to use proton pass on Safari.

Drag and drop/sorting fields with mouse
It would be nice to have the possibility to drag fields within an element. Right now, if I want to change the order of fields like e-mail, password or custom fields like name, text, hidden text etc., I need to delete a field and add a new one. So please add the option to drag and drop fields within an element (like a login, a note etc.).

Web access for Authenticator.
I like to use Proton Authenticator, but there is a major problem for me that forces me to use another service. I often require 2FA in cases where I do not have my phone and I am unable to install applications to the computer. Ideally I would be able to access Proton Authenticator through the web, using my hardware OTP. From there I would be able to access OTP for the rest of my accounts. This issue has forced me to use a different provider for an authenticator, which I hate to do, especially since I already pay for Proton.

UI revamp
Need cosmetic touches. compact list view would help specially when dealing with 10s of accounts. Sorting/Grouping by provider etc.. Also adding a provision to store one time backup passwords (when 2fa does fail to work for some reason) for each 2fa entry would turn this app into a complete solution. Aegis does better job at this.

Browser Extension for Authenticator
Currently, the standalone authenticator app is on desktop/mobile only, meaning it can't auto-fill the codes. A browser extension would do nicely. I understand Pass can do it (and does it nicely!), but the reason to have separate Authenticator app is not to have a single point of failure.
This way we could have both the convenience of auto fill, and the separate security settings for 2FA. I would personally set a different pin/password than my Proton/Pass account for my authenticator.
