"basic auth autofill"
The feature "Basic Auth autofillAutofill HTTP basic auth dialogs with saved credentials." is a bit too extreme. It really tries to already log in. That goes too far. If I have multiple logins per URL, this feature will try many times the wrong password and ban my IP.
It should just work like on Chrome, where the fields of basic auth are prefilled and i can still check what it did and then press enter.
It is also spooky to never really know if a site had the basic auth popup or not, as it is automatic. I don't like…4 votes -
OS-wide access to password vault
I would love to see some sort of quick mini Proton Pass window, akin to the browser extension popup, accessible anywhere from macOS. Especially since Proton Pass can hold much more than just logins, it would make sense to see it available for quick access to that data from anywhere in the OS.

Proton Pass iOS Mobile - Create email alias (hide my email) on the fly in browser
It's super cumbersome right now to create a "hide my email" alias on iOS mobile in the browser. I wish it was possible to create one on the fly.
For instance, in iOS, when filling out email on a sign-up form, I get iOS's default iCloud "Hide My Email" option to create an alias on the fly. No ProtonPass option.
To create a "hide my email" in ProtonPass currently, it's a long multistep process. Long press the input and choose Autofill > Passwords... which opens ProtonPass. Create an entire new login manually in the app, generate the alias, then save…

Autofill Toggle (email+password / username+password)
Some accounts may have relevant usernames and emails associated with them but only allow for sign in access with one credential type.
For example, Microsoft allows one to log-in via email, phone number, or Skype in their main webpage. I must use my email for this, but Proton Pass' auto-fill defaults to my Microsoft username which is relevant for some aspects of the the account but not relevant for signing into their main webpage.

Add the ability to change a password inline on the autofill window.
When you log into a website sometime the password is expired and needs changed. I would like the ability to change the password inline with the autofill window. The current method is to minimize the web browser, open the password, app, changed the password, copy the password, go back to the web browser (hope it hasn’t timed out), paste the new password. The ability to edit the login within the autofill window to change the password would save a ton of steps. BTW 1Password has this feature.

Vault name length
The vault list on the left only shows about 16 letters/characters of the vault-name. If you have multiple vaults with similar name it's difficult to distinguish them.
A possibility to extend the size of the vault list would be great, or at least that it shows the full vault-name if you hover over it.

Add the device name to the Passkey record
It's impossible to identify a stored Passkey by the coupled device: You only see the related browser.
I would like to be able to determine the associated device, zo I can see which Passkey I can remove or where I have to generate one.3 votes -
[Desktop App] Lock on system shutdown
I really find it difficult to remember to manually lock the desktop app before I shut down my computer, and I find the options given for auto-locking after a period of time to be rather annoying.
Aside from that, there are definite security implications if someone gains access to your computer after you've forgotten to lock the app before you shut down. I realise the timer based auto-lock is one solution to this. As I mentioned though, it is rather annoying having to re enter my password every 1 hour at most.
I'd really love to see a setting that…

Password manger for offline devices
It would be awesome to have an encrypted Folder with indexation for offline devices passwords that we can access offline in our phone to log in into air-gaped devices, or just to store passwords related to other systems/devices where we just need easy search of passwords previously stored. Have a nice day.

Export passwords by vault
Add the ability for a user to export passwords via selecting multiple options, and allowing export of entire vaults. (I.E. Folders / Categories).
This will make it easier to export only sub parts when you do not want to export the entire password database.

Credit Card Autofill
First it was on the roadmap for Spring 2024. Then Summer 2025. Now it's February 2026.
This is a feature that's more valuable, and seemingly easier to implement, than having a CLI interface.

Device Trust Limitation
I have Proton Pass on both my Android phone and my Linux laptop, but because of the security defects of Linux, I don't want to give the same levels of trust to both platforms. I would like a way for one trusted device to be able to enforce limitations in what other devices can access, such as allowing one-time access to use passkeys (ideally doing the actual cryptography only on the trusted client), one-time access to pull a certain password, or permanent access to specific credentials.
Currently, to accomplish something like this, I use one paid account (on Android) and…

Handle wildcard in url mapping
Could it be possible in the future to handle wildcard in url mapping ?
As a web developer, i'm using dev environments, so urls are something like https://mywebsite-pr-*.fr/. Currently, it doesn't recognize url and doesn't propose me to autofill password.
Manually search then copy the credentials is kind of cumbersome. Thanks for your time reading !

Add WebDAV for optional self-hosted sync
Please consider adding an option to disable Proton Cloud and sync via WebDAV instead. This would allow users to store their password data on their own servers (like Nextcloud) for complete control. It's a valuable privacy feature for those who prefer not to rely on cloud services while still enjoying multi-device access.
