Global Auto Type
With the Mac app, the Linux version, and the Windows application, please give us the ability to set a global auto-type command like Control + CMD + P. This command should open a window where Proton Pass automatically types in the data, enabling auto-fill in non-web applications, similar to how KeePass does it.

this feature is sorely needed. I am tired of browser extensions seemingly being the anser to "everything". Not a total fan of native macos password manager ande would love to have this functionality implemented. I have only tried protonpass in a limited capacity but w/o this added functionality I am hesitant to commit to using it. If this was implemented, I would go for it.

Another Mac user here begging for native macOS autofill (not a browser extension). I am currently begrudgingly using 1Password (which also requires a browser extension instead of native autofill). If Proton added native macOS autofill, I'd move over in a heartbeat. If the iPad app were still installable on Macs, I would have moved over already.

I would appreciate this feature. I would rather use such feature rather then installing the app or extension everywhere.

I think this is the only thing that sometimes makes me consider 1Password (+ custom favicons).
I believe ProtonPass needs it too to become a top player in the password manager world.
Security is extremely important, but enhancing the user experience with features like that makes it even better.

Few password managers offer the auto-type service. Only today it is a very useful feature and sufficiently sought after to be developed. I think this is a plus that you could really setup and would give you even more hearing.

Since we already have a desktop app, this could make life so much easier.

We lost the option because you disabled the ipad app. Please integrate it in the MacOS app.

Yes please. Safari currently won't allow passkeys to be created in Proton Pass, because it can't be selected in MacOS Autofill & Passwords settings.
Current workaround is to use a different browser to create the passkey.

My workflow is entirely dependent on being able to auto-type on all kinds of programs, not just the browser, so I can't migrate to Pass until this is available.

Please build universal autofill for MacOS

Definitely WANTED! It would be great if we could select Proton Pass as an autofiller in the system settings (like the "Passwords" Mac app, which is selected by default).
This will allow us to fill in passwords in any app and not just in the browser like on Android or iOS. We can't enjoy 100% Proton Pass on MacOS without this!

My old password manager allowed me to right-click "auto type" on the password into the current cursor location of where I need the password to go. This feature is extremely useful when it is not possible to copy and paste a password using either the mouse or the keyboard. I have a few logons where this happens and the auto type feature saves me from having to manually type the ridiculously long and secure password every time I want to logon.

YES, please add universal autofill!

The MacOS desktop app currently does not support universal autofill on an OS level.
Value:
- One-time set-up: works across different browsers and other apps
- Enables biometric security for autofill -

Agreed - this is a showstopper for me; I use Universal Autofill constantly in 1Password. If Proton Pass can implement this I will migrate immediately.

Proton Pass for Mac should show up in Settings-General-AutoFill&Passwords as an option in 'AutoFill From' and 'Set Up Codes In' to select Proton Pass instead of Apple Passwords.

That the macOs app from Proton Pass allows system-wide autofill. Not only in the browser but in every app.

The lack of this feature is the only reason I am sticking with KeePass as my password manager.

I second this! This used to be possible back when we could only use the iPad app (Proton Pass was available in the System Settings > AutoFill & Passwords > AutoFill Passwords and Passkeys). Although the new native macOS app is superior in many aspects, this lack of deeper integration with macOS feels like a step backwards. I appreciate this has been done to achieve consistency in the user interface across different OSes, but I wonder whether we could have the option to toggle between the two different modes?
