Auto-lock when system lock
Hi Team,
Suggesting a new timeout settings for the proton pass browser extension. Suggesting we add a new option that will stay the vault open and will lock once the system is locked or gets shutdown.

Very annoying to have to re-open proton pass on a timed schedule. Even every hour is too frequent as it interrupts work when you discover that, as you are accessing a protected website, you find proton pass has closed just when you need it.

Coming from KeePass, which locks when:
- You haven't used KeePass for some time (configurable)
- You lock the operating system (Windows)It would be great if Proton Pass would have this option (and probably should do by default)!

PROTON STAYS UNLOCKED AFTER CLOSING THE BROWSER. GET RID OF THE PIN AND USE THE PASSWORD!

I just realized Proton doesn't lock when I close my browser. This means the data is accessible unencrypted at rest on my storage disk.
Even after shutting down the computer, the Proton Pass extension is still unlocked and well, demonstrating that the data would be accessible to anyone getting a hold of my laptop. -

- I’d suggest adding a separate checkbox for this feature, independent of the existing "1 min – 10 min – 1 hour" timeout options.
- This feels more relevant to the app itself, but adding it to the browser extension also seems reasonable and useful.

Provide, in the list of possible choices, 1 min - 10 min - 1 hour - at system lock

Proton pass gives you the option to lock it (with a pin) based on a timer you set.
Bitwarden can also let you lock it on a per session basis (meaning it locks when the browser is closed) without needing to wait for the timer to expire. As long as you're working it's open, and only if you opened it to use it for work. Once you close the browser session, it locks.
I would like that behavior to be available as an option in proton pass.

Coming from 1Password, this is the most critical feature I'm missing. When I lock my (Linux) laptop, I need confidence that Proton Pass locks itself immediately.
1Password also provides a nice feature that lets you reopen it using your device keyring after a device lock/unlock, so you don't have to retype your entire password each time you unlock your session.

If I close my browser, leave my computer, and someone accesses it and opens a browser, my whole Proton Pass is behind a SIX DIGIT PASSWORD. How secure is that ? Even lastpass has an option to log out the extension when you close the browser.

This feature is vital for security. Both real security and peace of mind.

I also wish the auto-lock timer was based on inactivity rather than just a flat amount of time since unlock.
It'd be more convenient and also safer to lock after x minutes of inactivity rather than the flat 10 mins I'm using now.
In addition to that, options for auto-locking on browser close and system lock would also be great.

I would like to see that feature as well.

Currenlty the longest auto-logout (apart from never) is 1 hour. I'd like to see this extended to the computers powerdown as if someone wanted to steal my computer it would need to be powered down. While powered on Im generally always at the computer.

This basic password manager security feature is essential. Most other pass managers have it.
